Assembly is clearly meant to be as quick and easy as possible, coming in 4 pieces that slide together. However, mine was terribly difficult because the slides were too far apart to slide in the back easily. A bit of elbow grease got it to fit, but I needed to keep pushing the chair back down for a few weeks to make sure it didn't pop out. Eventually I think I did bend the slides such that the back stays over time. I did put the shoulder bits on backwards, but I'm afraid to take it apart to fix it because I don't know how hard it'll be to reassemble The connection point slides are metal, but not very thick. It has been holding me perfectly fine (240 lbs). I've had it over several months. The day I have to move it, it is going to have to be disassembled because the parts will separate, and I really dread that day. ... show more

I guess for a put-together arm chair, it's not bad. I was hoping it would be a little plusher, but overall a fine chair for what I needed. I got this chair to put in the corner of my bedroom. It is a great size for a smaller space. The microfiber is nice and soft, and the black color is a true black. What I don't like: I wish the back was taller, it comes up to just below my shoulder blades (I am 5'4"), so there's no head, neck or shoulder support. The back cushion is very soft and plush, but the seat is very stiff, with little give. Assembly was a little weird, There is no hardware, which is nice - everything just slots together. I had to struggle a bit to get the back "section" out of the bottom of the seat where it is stored for shipping. Also, when I put the back on, the entire construction was a bit wobbly so I had to adjust a few times to make it sturdy. Overall, not a bad chair. Can be assembled by one person. ... show more

This chair was very difficult to assemble. Logically and based on the directions, it didn't look seem it would be difficult, but trying to get all the slots to line up so they all connect at once was very very difficult. Once together, it will come apart again when I try to move the chair. Very disappointed. I do like the look and feel of the material, just wish it would not come apart when I try to move it. ... show more

This chair could not have had any cushion as it was harder than a rock. A chair is to sit in, you couldn't even do that with this chair. Do not buy or you will be returning it like I did and Amazon wont even refund you the price you paid, they sent me $29 less than I paid....still not resolved.

This chair was a good value. It probably would’ve been easier to put together with two people, but was definitely a struggle by myself because of trying to get both arms slid onto the brackets and not have one come loose while trying to do the other. It feels sturdy for sitting. The arms are a little wobbly and it’s hard to move without dislodging the arms from their slide-in brackets, so be careful when moving. Truthfully, it’s a decent buy for the price & looks great & is a comfy chair, very soft & cushiony. The fabric is quite nice, as well. ... show more

When I ordered, I didn't realize we would have to put these chairs together. It just seemed bizarre. They feel very cheaply made and rickety. Comfort is just mediocre. I do not expect that these will last very long, but money was tight and I guess these will do fine as chairs in a room that is not used very often. I do like the look and color...but that is about all I like about these chairs. ... show more

They’re actually pretty sturdy! I bought the whole set and it was a awesome decision after going from furniture store to furniture store and they had nothing in stock or long delivery dates the day I finally decided to go ahead and order… people can’t believe it came from Amazon.
