    • Good value, keeps the temp at 35 degrees, but a little noisy.
So far, so good. This is the third electrostatic cooler I purchased, and the only one that keeps the temperature near freezing. The others I liked better esthetically (pretty "makeup fridges") because I plan to use it full time in my bedroom, but they would not get the temperature below 42 degrees. Thanks to Amazon I could return them. This one is bigger, cools much faster, and so far is keeping the temp perfect around 35 degrees, without freezing. I am keeping almond milk, whipping cream and sour cream in it, so you see why I need it the right temp. It is not the prettiest thing for keeping in my bedroom, and the fan is a little loud but not objectionable to me. Your mileage may vary. I am not very sensitive to noise. It is a very good value for the size...similar in price but much larger than the makeup fridges. Now hoping it holds up well. I read that these coolers don't last forever, but worth it to me to try it. One weird thing: Amazon asks me to rate it's "warmth, thickness, and durability", all of which seem like they should apply to a sweater, not a cooler. I like that the fan and electrostatic unit are accessable in the lid, as i hope if they need replacement I can do that easily. Also hoping the fan in the lid will keep the temperature even throughout. The makeup fridges did not have any internal fan to circulate the air, so I worried that packing then full would result in uneven temperatures. ... show more

    • Absolutely LOVE this!
I love everything about this cooler, except one thing. You can hear the fan. It isn't loud, but it isn't silent either. This is the ONLY even slightly negative thing I can say about this cooler. It is awesome! Have not tried to use it to keep things warm, but as a cooler, it is phenomenal!

This item has warming and cooling functions, but I purchased for the cooling option. Love the concealed corn and that it includes the ability to plug into your car outlet or a wall outlet. Perfect size and ideal to keep constant cool temps for meds and food items. Highly recommend.

    • This Thing is Awesome!
I ordered this with fingers crossed, but it exceeded all my hopes. Light weight and quiet, it cools down as good as my refrigerator, holds about 3 six-packs, and is very easy to use and transport. Having both a 12 volt cord for the car and a 110 volt cord is very handy, and allows me to take it from the car to the hotel room. I've noticed in one of my cars that the plug occasionally manages to work itself loose, so you should always check to make sure it's running when you start the car up after a stop. (I haven't had need of the warming setting yet, so I can't comment on that.) The only downside was the extra screw rattling around in the motor housing. I took it apart, removed the errant screw, put it back together and the issue was resolved. It's gone with me on 3 cross country trips so far and I couldn't be more pleased.     • Good buy until car power adapter broke.
This cooler/warmer was a good buy. It comes with power cords for receptacles and car adapter. The main reason I bought it is to use it on road trips. We used it in about 3 trips in a 4 months period. The car adapter broke. I contacted the vendor just to get the part number so I can buy a new part. They replied saying that they couldn't find my amazon order. I replied to them with my amazon order and also stated that the email I was messaging from is my other personal email and not the one linked to my amazon account. Bottom line, I still recommend the product but be aware that the car adapter brakes easily (literally in parts, I just couldn't find all the parts to put it together). Also keep in mind that the customer service doesn't not follow up to close a claim. ... show more

Purchased this for a road trip and a hotel stay that I knew didn't have a mini-fridge in the room. I plugged it into my cars DC port while on the road, and in the wall outlet when in the hotel room. I kept a small thermometer inside the cooler along with sandwich meats and other various cold items. Each time I checked, it read 40 degrees, which is the advertised temp on the cold setting. My home refrigerator is set at 37 degrees so the cooler doesn't keep items as cold as that but it certainly was sufficient. While operating, the fan on the top is audible but not intrusive. It could only be detected in the hotel room when everything else was shut off. Just to be safe, I chose to unplug the cooler whenever I stopped my vehicle (at rest stops, ect.) because I didn't want to risk depleting my car battery. I did NOT test the hot setting so I can't vouch for that. ... show more

Cooler arrived quickly and in excellent shape. Burn-in test criteria: connected to 120VAC, staged in 68ºF room, RH ~40%. Ran for 5 days with 2 gallon jugs of water inside. After 24 hrs food thermometer read 44.6ºF, after 48 hrs and for the next 2 days temp averaged between ~32.5ºF and 34.2ºF. Shut off after 5 days, 12 hrs later temp was ~46ºF and 24 hrs later temp was 52.2ºF. I found approximately 1 tbsp of water condensation in the bottom of the cooler after it warmed back up and noted some water dripping from the fan housing upon opening (high relative humidity in my area) - my suggestion to manufacturers would be to redesign the housing to allow for better drainage. My suggestion to potential owners is to pack carefully to allow for cold air circulation (perhaps make some shelving that allows stacking and circulation) and not place foods damaged by water on the bottom of the cooler. ... show more
