I have owned several of this type of clipper. I have gotten rid of all them in disgust. I don't have hedges so I can't speak to that. I use these to trim around perennials, bushes, and tree trunks where a string trimmer is a recipe for disaster. I have osteoarthritis in both hands. These clippers do not require constant pressure on the safety release which was a real problem for me with other clippers. The on button does not require herculean strength which was the other major problem I had with previous clippers. The grip is comfortable and the battery life has been great. These are my new favorite garden tool.

It just arrived. First, I charged the battery and then put it in. And when, I go to use it, the blades literally fall off. It's literally stuck on with glue!!! Either it's terrible quality or they sold me one that was already broken.

I have had this product for over a year at this point. It is such a great little tool. Holds a charge for forever. super easy to change out the blades. Great at trimming up hard to reach areas (I use mine along a patio fence.) It is uncomplicated, small enough to fit in a drawer, and is a great trimming tool.

I really liked the first couple of uses. After that, I get about 2 minutes of use out of this. The 7.whatever volt one may work but don’t waste your time on the 3.6 one! At this point the thing barely works and I wouldn’t even try the long attachment on it. Also, there is no customer service for this product on amazon and no 1-800 number or contact info in the manual. You know this: (YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR) Hard Pass

These clippers zip through the tall grass my husband leaves when he mows around my ornamentals and edges. They are so much more fun to use than grass hand shears. I have arthritis in my fingers and the constant squeezing of the manual models makes my hands ache. Battery life is amazingly long--90+ minutes which is when I get bored or tired anyway. They also easily clip back my azaleas and other twiggy shrubs after blooming. The directions warn against getting dirt in the blades, but I even use them when I am in a hurry to weed; they shear off weeds at ground level. My only complaint is that changing blades is time consuming and confusing at first.
