The product is excellent. The LEDs are bright and have vivid coloration, the diffuser strip is made incredibly well with soft-touch material, that secures itself well to the cables. Just be aware that because this is a Lian-Li product, the hardware is excellent, but the firmware and L-Connect software you have to use out of the box is absolutely atrocious. Do your research and look into a custom controller for the Strimer cables, you'll be glad you did. ... show more

I was very pleased that I didn’t need to use the controller for this to work, it comes with the standard argb cable that you can plug directly to the header on your motherboard. They also include great instructions on what brightness you should set it to in the asus armory crate app and there’s also instructions for gigabyte and msi motherboards as well. As you can see from my photo it looks awesome Also was very pleased with how simple it is to flip the connectors around which I did have to do for the locking tabs to be facing the correct direction. Lian li is legit kind of wishing I would have got their fans now but oh well I’m happy with my setup for now ... show more

I have the Strimer for both the CPU and GPU and I absolutely love the way it looks and allows for customization. I currently have all my RGB set to a champagne color. Only downside is that the Lian Li L-Connect software doesn’t allow you to input the RGB color codes it is just sliders.

Pros: Easy to Install, can change plastic cable endings to white from black like I did Great ability to change color lightning and fans all in one software The Software is very very good, if you have any Corsair RGB and are using their software called “ICUE”, Lian Li’s software is way simpler to navigate, instantly the software loads up, and changing lights happens in seconds with dozens of variations, ICUE or corsairs software is complete garbage, highly recommended Lian Li strimers, but also fans , even going as far as replacing the ones that come on a factory Corsair cooler. Cons: Instructions could be improved The Instructions aren’t the easiest to understand, only because the diagrams are very small and mainly they are written in Japanese. You can easily work around this by taking your time and studying everything or just watch a YouTube video and assemble it in 20-30 minutes if you have never done it before. Summary, definitely buy if you love RGB and are looking for a way to glow up your build! ... show more

They look very cool and they work. But if you're new to building your PC I'd wait to get these. Building a PC can be very difficult and adding these can add more stress. But everyone is different!

At first, I was scared when I installed it because it didn't light up completely, and because I had already seen in these reviews that many people received it 'defective.' Then, I realized they were connected to the wrong port. The left plug on the controller is programmed for 300mm, which is triple 8 pin cable, whereas the right plug is programmed for 200mm, the 24 pin one, and that explains why the remaining 100mm on the 3x8 pin wasn't lightning up properly in dynamic mode. This ribbon I ordered it without knowing that I would need a controller, so order the controller too. Also, it is bright as I’ll get out, so be prepared to figure out a way to make your computer get dimmer at night time if you need to. But if you want a lot of output, this thing is amazing. Oh yeah, it did fall apart on me the second time I tried to flip the direction meaning that if you change course for this cable twice be very careful handling it when you’re flipping it around you have to undo all these clips my motor function isn’t as great as I’d like, and the whole thing fell apart on me, I’m not sure if I was being too rough or if it was the cable being a piece of crap so just bear it in mind ... show more
