looks and sounds great for a living room. It comes with a HDMI cable and it has screw holes on the bottom for mounting to a stand . Also, comes with a power supply cord ,in my case for a 120 outlet. also has rubber feet for setting it on a counter top

    • Not Compatible With Older LG TVs— and No Optical Connectivity

I’m returning this LG S20A model soundbar for a refund. It is not compatible with my old 4802X LG tv— the description did not specify that the HDMI connection works ONLY with HDMI-IN (ARC) connections. Our tv doesn’t have an ARC connection, just an "HDMI-IN” port. Our older LG tv doesn’t have bluetooth capability either, plus this soundbar itself has no optical cable port. Our old soundbar connected to the tv via optical cable and worked great for a decade or more, until it didn’t. I chose the S20A model because it was an LG product, and as far as I could tell from the Amazon description and questions to the AI, that it would easily connect to our older, bluetoothless LG tv. I also liked the size. Our tv resides in a custom made bookcase nook, and this smaller-width soundbar fit nicely on the shelf just above the tv. I WAS able to jerry-rig the soundbar to the tv by connecting to our Roku box with bluetooth. So I can say I briefly heard the sound quality which seemed quite good, not big surround sound, but much better than the tv speakers. That said, connecting the soundbar to the tv through your Roku box is a lousy solution. It frequently diminished the picture quality, and the whole picture would freeze from time to time too. Plus, if I switched the tv’s input over to our digital antenna for local stations, the sound coming through the soundbar was of course only the sound of the program Roku was streaming at the time and not the sound of the local station. As for the soundbar itself, it appeared of quality, weighty, clean lines, and compact, perfect sized for us, however, the remote is quite small, and cheaply made. This soundbar is probably better suited for a second (newer/smart) tv for the bedroom or workspace... ... show more

I'm a fan of soundbars because they are versatile and go anywhere. TV on top of a dresser? Soundbar! TV mounted on the wall? Soundbar! Yes, yes, they lack proper separation, bookshelf speakers, blah blah blah. I get it, I do. But I've had good experiences with a variety of units, from cheapies to one that ran me $1,000 (which isn't even top of market, just "mid-range"), and in general I've been quite happy with them. But this thing is an absolute clunker. No separation, no bass, muddy middles, it doesn't even do the thing that soundbars are supposed to nail, the center channel dialogue. It felt like I was taking TV speakers and pointing them forward, and on a modern OLED panel, that's not saying much. Also the WOW Orchestra was bad bad bad, with a mild delay between the TV and the speakers, and no I'm not going to futz with it until it's just right. I've spent similar amounts on TCL, even Vizio bars, and been pleasantly surprised. This is a $40-50 speaker with an LG logo slapped on it. ... show more
