    • Very large and powerful speaker with great sound.
This a really nice bluetooth speaker but be aware that this this is REALLY big for a speaker. It is portable but it is a very tall speaker. It has a handle on top to make it easy to move around but it can be heavy. That being said, this omni speaker is extremely powerful. I am very happy with the sound and how the sound is evenly sent out. So you get clear sound with this in the center of the room. The bass is AMAZING on this. Another thing to note is that this has a wired connector as well as bluetooth. That being said, if you are using a projector, you can actually connect to this speakers for better sound quality. I highly recommend using this for that. It is a great for an outdoor movie showing. I have used it for my laptop and it works great. The sound quality is really clear. When it first arrived the initial battery charge is about 60 percent. It lasted about seven hours on just playing movie sounds alone from my laptop. Even with the bluetooth connection, it did not drain the battery too quickly. It does take a bit longer time to charge than other bluetooth speakers due being a bigger size. The speakers also have an ambient light that is nice. It is warm lighting and not extremely bright. I charged it which took four hours to get to full, but it all depends on what media you are using. When I charged it with my laptop, it took way longer than it would with a wall plug or power hub. I would recommend using a power hub or wall plug if possible. Afterwards, I tried pairing it via Bluetooth to my phone and the sound quality was amazing. There was no lag or static even from several feet away. The sound was crystal clear and had a good bass sound to it. The device itself is a bit heavy and large but at least it does have a handle so you are easily transport this as needed. It will take a good amount of room in say your backpack so be aware of that. It is a big bluetooth speaker. On bluetooth from full charge I was able to use the speakers for several days on stand. The burgendy color looks pretty nice but it is very easy to see the scratches on the device. It is easier to see dirty and such on this.. The material the device is made out of it is pretty sturdy but I wouldn't recommend dropping it as it can leave scratches. I also do not recommend putting this on sand or dirt as the material just clings to that stuff. Overall I think this is a great bluetooth speaker. It gives a good amount of range around 10-15 feet before losing any kind of sound quality and it last a pretty long time. It is definitely a must have if you like playing music in a big room. The handle is not retractable but it is a great way to hold and transport your bluetooth speaker. I am surprised at how BIG this device is. This RP4G Boom 360 from LG is a massive, omnidirectional speaker that projects the sound out in all directions. It is similar to the first and second generation Amazon Echos in the way the components are arranged with the woofer and the tweeter facing each other, causing the audio to fire outward in a 360 degree orientation. This in contrast to standard speakers that fire the audio in your direction. This is meant to envelop the entire room or outdoor space with an equal amount of sound for anyone in the general vicinity. LG calls their omnidirectional audio, "360 degree Panorama sound". This speaker is quite large, 20.2" tall and an equal width and depth at the bottom of the speaker being 9.8", it does get less wide/deep at the top of the speaker. It weight 12.8 pounds, but I'm actually surprised when I looked it up because it feels heavier than that. The speaker has an overall output of 120 watts when it is plugged into the wall, it has a standard AC cable that plugs into the bottom of the speaker (so it has an internal power supply that makes the charging cable be a lot smaller, like what you plug into a game console). The battery lasts for 10 hours, but it can sometimes be less if you had the light at max brightness and the volume turned up all the way. It takes 4-5 hours to fully recharge it from empty, but you can listen to it while it is recharging. It has a USB A port for local playback of MP3/WMA audio files, but you cannot charge it over USB. There is also an Aux port if you want to connect it to something that doesn't support bluetooth. It supports only two bluetooth codecs, SBC and AAC which makes it good for iPhones but Apt-X or LDAC or Something higher quality than SBC would have been nice for people with Android devices and special bluetooth transmitters. There is a mobile app that you need to use to be able to use all of the features, like being able to control the light. It has different preset options for the light that goes along with the music but you can also set it to your own color choices like a smart bulb using a color wheel in the app. This speaker does support bluetooth multi-point connections, so you can have it connected to two devices at once and it will play from whichever one has an active audio source. I think the light is nice for parties or to set a mood in a room that you are listening in. To me, this speaker sounds good and gets really loud, it is able to get the loudest when it is plugged in. I am just a regular listener of music, so I can't really describe the soundstage or sound signature of this speaker because I really don't know how to. All I can say is that if I paid for this speaker and I wanted to use it indoors or outdoors, I would be happy with the way it sounds for the price. I'm not sure what the total power output is when it is running off the internal battery, I can't find any information about that from LG on the product's webpage. The speaker has playback controls on the top, underneath and around where the handle is. But of course, you could use your phone or the mobile app to control the audio as well. They are physical buttons, not just touch sensitive "virtual buttons" like some bluetooth speakers have. This is a good product if you value the portable aspect of this speaker, it's definitely on the larger side but it's still very portable and easy to carry with you in a car to take outdoors during a day in the park or on the beach or whatever. I can't find any info on water/dust resistance, so I have to assume there is on IP rating to help protect from the rain or sand or anything. This seems like a oversight for a portable bluetooth speaker. Other than that though, this seems like a really solid option for large, premium portable speakers. ... show more
