We purchased a refurbished LG Gram 17 2023 laptop. It was a great deal on a great laptop! The LG Gram laptop certainly lives up to its namesake - This laptop is really light! At around 3.1 lbs, it is actually a little bit lighter than our 12" Samsung Tab S7+ (when a protective case is attached). Unusual for a laptop, you aren't sacrificing processing capability or features with that lighter and very thin format. This LG Gram 17 comes with an Intel Core i7-1360P 12-core processor (4 Hyperthreading Performance cores + 8 Single-Thread Efficiency cores) giving you an effective total of 16 processing cores. The display is really nice, with excellent brightness and contrast for daily use. It was a night-and-day improvement over the 17" Dell laptop that it replaces. Additionally, it comes with two of the newest technology USB 4 / Thunderbolt 4 ports, which I have tested to provide a solid 10 Gbps read/write speeds to a USB-C connected NVMe SSD drive. The Thunderbolt 4 ports are theoretically able to support 40 Gbps transfer rates, but I don't have any devices that can stress those capabilities (yet ...). Our laptop came with a built-in fingerprint reader in the power button that is compatible with "Windows Hello". I'm not sure if all LG Gram 17 laptops come with this hardware. Now that I have used the fingerprint reader / Windows Hello, I am very impressed with the speed, ease of use, and apparent accuracy of the feature. Our Gram 17 also has a backlit keyboard, which is nicely implemented. It's not a feature that we would use extensively, but it will be handy (did I make a pun?) when we need it. Battery life was perfectly fine for our usage, though it only lasted about 10 hours in our use (not the 12 hours mentioned in the description). The only minus that we have found is not specific to the LG Gram 17 itself, so there isn't any reduction in the product ratings. The minus is that this version of Windows 11 Home forces you to use a Microsoft account to log in by default, which is becoming very difficult to get around. At first, I didn't think this the forced Microsoft account login was a big issue, until I started to realize that Windows 11 then forces us to use OneDrive for all our document storage. For some people OneDrive integration is a feature, but I'm old-school and view OneDrive as a huge privacy concern. I don't want Microsoft to have access to all (or any) of our documents, because it ain't none of their business. PCs used to allow you to log in to a local account without forcing a login to Microsoft. Fortunately, there is an easy way for you to login on your Windows 11 installation and use a local account login instead. Do a quick web search for "oobe bypassnro". So far great , slim and super light is a 17 inches laptop BUT is very portable , again 17 inches laptop with a big display and yet the battery is great around 6 to 7 hours of intense use few thing to keep in mind : the refresh rate is ONLY 60Hz not the best for video games , the brightness is not very Hight but the great display compensated for medium brightness . no Touch Screen super easy to set up GREAT LAPTOP !!! for students , people on the go , this laptop is for you. ... show more

I'm very happy with this laptop. It's by far the highest laptop I've used... My previous Dell XPS 13 feels considerably heavier! The laptop is blazing fast, has a numpad, huge screen and the battery lasts all day. The laptop came in the OEM box and looked brand new!

Love the specs for this light 17" screen laptop. No touch screen at this price (I don't mind). Combined power switch - fingerprint scanner. Interesting that there is no left-right buttons below touch surface (below keyboard). By accident, I double tapped that touch surface and it appears to serve as a push button to activate an app. Came with Windows 11 Home, I bought a product key to upgrade the edition to 11 Pro. I am pleasantly surprised how thin and light it is.
