Style: 16,000-Watt Tri Fuel
Setup and starting is a breeze. Lacks a couple of key features however in comparison to the genmax. This does not have automatic start capability. The genmax can be setup to an automatic transfer switch and can automatically start and stop your generator in response to grid power. Also, the biggest and most frustrating gotcha is this generator ships with a bonded ground which makes it not usable to backup your house. It can only be used as a stand alone generator. If you want to unbond thr grounds to create a “floating” ground which is necessary to connect to your home, it requires a lot of work and is a serious pain in the butt to do so. This for me is a huge deal breaker and had known this I would have purchased the genmax instead of the duromax. If you plan on backing up your house, do not buy this generator. Buy the genmax which requires no modifications and is plug and play. Look for generators that come with floating ground. They advertise it as a whole house backup which is very misleading. ... show more

Style: 16,000-Watt Tri Fuel
It is marketed by Duromax as a whole home inverter generator but unfortunately comes with a bonded neutral which must be manually changed to a floating neutral before you can hook it up to your home through a generlink or transfer switch. Duromax customer service is absolutely terrible and provided little to no support on the issue. I had to hire a company to do it and it cost me $250. I am glad I did even an experienced repair person had issues due to the fact that the neutral wires are deep in the inverter - it is not that easy to do. You need to be aware of this issue if you intend to use it as a whole home generator. Was very disappointed at the lack of knowledge or interest by Duromax customer service. ... show more
