When I opened the box I realy liked this laptop. It is light as a feather (compared to my old Dell tank, anyway). It has a full keyboard with number pad, boots quickly, and seems to have enough battery. The description said 2 TB SSD, which is technically true, I guess - it has two separate 1 TB drives. There seems to be no way to order this box with any more than 16 GB of memory. Reviews that speak of poor and/or nonexistent warranty support are correct. I was well into setting it up, transferring data from my old box, and installing my favorite apps, when I attempted to attend a Zoom meeting and discovered that the built-in speaker(s) don't work (Zoom said it couldn't find the microphone and speaker, and then I realized I hadn't heard a peep out of it the whole time I was installing stuff). Standard diagnostics didn't turn anything up, and updating drivers did no good either. LG appears not to have any drivers or diagnostic software for this model (17Z90P-K). In fact, most of the places on their support site where you search for a model refused to admit there was any such thing. I had tried multiple ways to register the warranty, but my LG account still says I have no registered products. A couple of tries resulted in a "success" message but it still won't admit that I have any registered products. My first two attempts to create a "repair request" gave me an out-of-warranty message and tried to sell me a repair (even though I received it from Amazon just 3 days ago). I tried various ways of entering the information, and finally managed to get a repair order receipt. Now I'm waiting for them to get back to me with information on how to ship it to them.     • Bluetooth mouse hesitates.

Somewhere on Amazon, I have a similar review to this about the current LG Gram 17 model -- "I returned it because I couldn't use a Bluetooth mouse." All because "it hesitates," almost constantly. The best way to describe this is that, every second or two, it's like the Bluetooth connection drops, and so quite often, I could move the mouse, and some time after I made that motion, the mouse would actually move. Or, I might click on something, and then a split-second later, that "click" would actually happen, on-screen. And I'm sorry, but my usage for this computer would be almost entirely as a "desktop replacement," and I would be using a mouse virtually all the time. And this is way too much money to spend while putting up with a mouse that would frustrate me out of my mind, every time I use it. And no, I'm not going to go back to using a wired mouse, or even a USB mouse -- again, "this is way too much money to spend while putting up with a kludge to get around a mouse that doesn't work right." I returned one and decided to wait for a few months, then try again. Well, it has been ten months, and I wanted to stick with Windows 10, so I figured I'd better give it another try, now. And quite obviously, nothing within the Bluetooth system has changed for the better. Once again, I tried about half a dozen different mice, from different manufacturers, and "it wasn't the mouse I was using." It was the Bluetooth connection that wasn't working properly. I currently have more than half a dozen different notebook computers, including a previous-generation LG Gram 17 and a previous-generation LG Gram 14, and every one of these computers work flawlessly with the mice I've tried on the two "new" LG Gram 17 notebook I have tried and returned. This just doesn't work right, and I won't put up with it. And as I stated in my last review, "otherwise, this is truly the only notebook computer I want." I have 13-inch notebook computers that are HEAVIER than this 17-inch LG Gram. I want all of the hard drive space that LG has packed into this notebook computer. I want at least 16 gigabytes of RAM, which this has. I consider the screen to be among the best that money can buy. I'm entirely happy with the keyboard and the form factor. I don't see any other 17-inch notebook computers I would even consider purchasing. So, "I recommend the LG Gram series highly." I just haven't been able to find one of the current-generation models to work with a Bluetooth mouse, without experiencing the kind of hesitation I have described above. I use the computer for both work and personal use. I does what I need it to do to a certain level but also had to buy other software and pay IT people to set things up on it. It isn't touch screen, we have all touched the screen trying to make t work and nothing happens, not sure if that's a feature or something that I need to figure out how to set up or what. It's easy to use, lighweight, portable, thin, nice size screen, and has all the ports I need. The only things that I don't like is that it doesn't have a sd card slot nor a disc drive but mainly the card reader. But all-in-all, it's a good laptop. My son even uses it to remotely work from home when he can't go to school ... show more

I don't write feedback very often, but I had to write on this LG laptop. As a happy Lenovo laptop user for many years, I hesitated to go with LG for a laptop. Am I glad I did. I have it for a year now and it's the best laptop I ever had: - The 17" screen is amazing and the additional real estate over 15" laptops is significant. - Even though it's larger than most 14" laptops. it weighs less. I have no idea how LG was able to pull this trick off. And it still fits all the bags I have. - Battery life last a full day. Period. - And performance is great. I really can't think of anything negative to say about this laptop. ... show more
