Went from a Samsung 42" to the LG Oled 65" and I'm so glad I did. I had to hire a handyman to help me get it out of the box, install the stand, and help me get it up onto my mantel. I'm still learning the different features on the magic remote. I figured I would simply put my firestick on this TV if I don't like the LG remote and interface. So far I haven't had to do that (I've had the TV up and running for 5 days). The cursor that appears seemingly out of the blue was a little disconcerting...it moves fast and I prefer clicking on buttons...but today I installed the Alexa voiceover and that is working well. I'm exploring the free channels that come with LG and am happy to see that I can get regular news channels like ABC and CBS without having to rely on streaming only as I did in the past. The quality of the sound without a soundbart is good enough for me-- even the music channels sound pretty good and I can crank it up without any distortion--incredible). The picture quality of OLED is AMAZING! I"m blown away at the difference. Nature shows make every hair and whisker on a walrus show up in detail, for example. I can detect all of the embroidery and beading details on the costumes in Game of Thrones. I didn't know what I was missing before. This TV is going to make me very popular with my friends this winter as THE place for gathering to watch movies. LOL. I highly recommend it. I"m obviously not a techie so I can't speak to the specs or comparisons or gaming. I can just tell you I love it. ... show more

    • WHOW!! just WHOW!!
We had an older LED big screen. The problem is when you turn it on the background "black" is actually a very dark gray. You do not notice it when bright pictures are on but when you are seeing a night scene or a dark scene there is a great lack of contrast making it hard to see what is going on. This one is the new OLED screen. When you turn it on black is black. So you have much greater contrast in the dark scenes and you can see what is going on much better. If you are having trouble seeing the dark scenes on your big screen then you might want to consider getting one like this, OLED. ... show more

    • Intrusive and Unwanted User Agreements

The TV has horribly intrusive user agreements that allow the tv to spy on you and report your activities elsewhere. There's no way to avoid the agreements. If you don't agree to the agreements, you can't use half the tv. It doesn't feel like I've bought a tv but am leasing someone else's tv. I want to return this. ... show more

Was looking for a TV that would give us a great picture and last a while without going obsolete. So far this has been great and easy to use and setup. Many of the new TVs are not visible if you're looking at it from the side, but not an issue at all with this. And the picture is amazing, almost 3D and super clear! Only drawback I've run in to is I don't see DirectTV available as a downloadable app so I still have the Firestick plugged in to it but I'm honestly going to switch to another streaming service soon anyway. Can't rate it for games as I'm not a gamer ... show more

    • TVs fine, Scroll Wheel is stupid idea
The magic remote was designed such that the "ok" button doubles as a scroll wheel. This is a disaster. A slight angled push of the ok button to press play on your episode will end up sending you to the next episode or starting it over. Really annoying that the two features are controlled on the same button. Honestly the scroll feature is not needed. A simple push button to press ok/enter is the simpler and efficient choice. LG messed up with this one. I am currently watching last of us (2/2/23) and the picture comes in and out of focus. Some shows have no problems. Im still trying to figure out what the issue is. ... show more

The picture on this tv is unreal!!! Suddenly, I can see that my favorite actors are getting old....the wrinkles and pores be coming through the screen on this monster of a tv!!! No, but for real, it's crazy how different an actress looks on this tv versus the tv in my bedroom! Highly recommend this tv! We've been very happy with it. So happy that we'd rather watch a movie at home than the theater! The graphics are better and the seats are better at home now! ... show more

No problems out of the box, been watching for about two months now with no issues. Deep darks and bright brights - what can I say? I love the picture. The different settings provide for enhanced experiences depending on what you're watching. I hook it up to a five channel stereo for added experience but the audio from the TV alone is remarkably good. It's not as good as the $2K sets but for someone who is just looking for a good OLED experience for the money, I recommend this set highly. ... show more
