  • Solid mid-level TV
Size: 55 in
I am reviewing the LG 55inch nano 75 series tv. To the point, I have lots of TVs, projectors, etc. and buy good stuff. I am comfortable with technology. In my opinion, this is a really nice mid-level tv. Not the cheapest, and far from most expensive. I just needed a 55inch tv to put in a shared space, not a main tv, so buying the best wasn’t critical. But, I also didn’t want the most basic tv either, and this tv fit that goal perfectly. I read a few bad reviews, but owning other LG TVs and having good experiences, I choose to purchase, and I’m glad I did. This tv punches above its specs/price point. No issues at all. Most of the negative reviews seem to be from those annoyed with how advanced the technology is on this tv, and their challenges with using it. And I can understand why. The tv is a bit modern in the interface, but once you learn how it works, it works really well. Honestly a good interface, my complements to to user design team. My only complaint is how the tv tries to sell you on itself and it’s features in one of the boxes on the Home Screen, and you can’t make that box go away. Otherwise, the remote works well, and yes, it has a mouse like button, and it works really well, but if you don’t like it, you don’t have to use it. Instead, you can click on the up down right left buttons to scroll through the menus. No issues. From reviews I read I was worried, but for no reason. Yes, it’s a smart tv and you will spend 15 minutes setting up the WiFi and access settings upon first use, but after that, it’s all goodness. It should go without saying that any smart tv will rely on you to provide a good WiFi connection and adequate internet bandwidth. In summary, this is a good tv. Unless you are technology adverse, or challenged, or you expect the OLED experience at half price, you will love it. If this is to be your primary viewing tv, I would suggest upgrading to a model with native 120hz (aka 240) and hdmi v2.1. But for a secondary tv, or a tv on a budget without buying the most basic model, the nano 75 series is a good tv that I can solidly recommend. ... show more

  • Not bad for the price
I love the remote, picture is pretty nice but the black is more Grey. Its been a few months and it works good my only problem is this : Connected to my sony sound system it sends a turn on/off signal to the system when the TV turns on/off or changes input. That turns off my already on sound system every time! Ice learned to turn the TV on first, then change input to what I want, then turn on my sound system or Xbox IN THAT ORDER. Even then if I want to change input to another device it shuts down the device so no swapping back and forth. It also signals my sound system hub to startup on TV input every time even though I wanted it on hdmi 1 or 2. I have to get up every time and sometimes few times to turn on and change inputs. I've been through the TV many times searching for a way to stop it. Other that that specific glitch that Mary only effect people like me that run other systems through your surround sound system its a good TV ... show more

  • Good price and great tv
The only problem with this tv was. Amazon delivered it to my house and it said that they would set it up for free but the only thing the delivery guys did is leave it at my door and left. Didn't even ring my doorbell, luckily my camera showed me it was in my front door. When I opened it, the top & bottom left corners of the tv are white. Don't know if it came dame from Amazon or the delivery crew but this is the last time I get a tv with Amazon. Only reason why I didn't complain to Amazon is because it showed as delivered But this is a great tv, can't do split screen on this model but still has the best picture. Sorry this is a late post but just want to warn everyone about Amazon delivery ... show more

  • A work of Art
Size: 55 in
This TV is nothing short of a work of art. I tested it against the best in the price range. Before I got it I had a 65” Sony A85J with the 120Hz native. I actually got two of those because I thought I just got a bad screen because it was washed out. Nope, it’s the Sony. I actually went down a size to a 55” so it didn’t look like such a behemoth in the man cave and I still love it better. The screen gets BRIGHT! Enough to make my eyes hurt if I watch it on Vivid long enough. If you like the soap opera 120Hz look, LGs TruMotion reproduces it perfectly. I’m not a gamer so I don’t need the actual VRR. The colors are beautiful. The options are limitless. The HDR is “okay” but I didn’t expect much from a mid-range TV and I don’t have many HDR channels to worry about, but by way of comparison I used Ozark and the Sony was so dark and muddied I couldn’t tell the color of clothes or where one character ended and the other began. The LG provides a crisp and fast action to clear all that up. I got this on sale at $459 and will never regret it. I’ve only had one LG before, a 43”, and I found myself watching it more than my Saumsung 55 and 60-inch. That was 2016 and tech has come a long way. Don’t hesitate. ... show more

  • I love LG TVs and this is my best one yet
The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love this tv. The picture quality and options are amazing. I love all the smart tv options and I love the game mode. I did a lot of research and getting all the perfect picture quality settings done right. It takes time to get everything adjusted perfectly the way you want it, but once it’s all setup, it’s well worth it. I love the remote as well. I was wondering what some people were talking about in the reviews, but the mouse like button is an option you don’t have to use. It is a convenience at times for sure. No complaints from me. It’s definitely a modern control and I like it compared to any tv remote I’ve ever had in the past. I’ve had this for a while now and I haven’t had any complaints. The way they box this tv is so clever and unique too. The opening instructions are on the box and it was quite fun unboxing it. I was quite impressed how they designed the box for opening. Pure genius. The TV is BIG and it is heavy. My wife was sooooo nervous helping me get it out and mounted, but we did it just fine. This is my second LG tv and I’m very happy with both of them. ... show more
