Description

Our 8,000 BTU through-the-wall air conditioner is ideal for cooling bedrooms, apartments, or any small to medium size rooms up to 330 square feet. It has 3 cooling and fan speeds to customize your comfort. The 4-way air deflection allows you to direct the flow of air where it's needed most whether cooling, dehumidifying or just circulating air on fan mode. The thermostat can conveniently be set between 60°F and 86°F. Use the 24 hour timer to program exactly when and for how long you want the wall mounted ac unit to cool. Use the energy saver option to help save on energy costs. If there is a power outage, the auto restart feature will automatically turn your wall unit back on to its previous settings when power is restored. The removable filter alerts you when it is time to clean so you can wash and use it again and again to remove dust and debris and keep the wall air conditioner running smoothly. Please if you care about your wellbeing, DO NOT BUY this AC, it’s too loud!! It drives me crazy. I bought it a year ago, this year, I wanted to give it another chance but the noise is awful. I can’t replace it for a better one. My solution…wear an earplugs. However, it does cool.

I installed the AC in our second bedroom it is right at 100 Sq ft. Don't forget to purchase a sleeve. I went with the LG recommended with rear screen. I had precut the wall prior to the AC and sleeve arriving. The measurement allowed for more than enough room for shifting into place. Using shims, it went in solid with screws on both sides. None on the top or the bottom. Once you add the vertical weatherstrip to right inside about 9 inches from front the AC slid right in. It is on. cooling, very quiet. I would recommend using the LG sleeve I glanced at the directions for other brands. confusing!! ... show more

We purchased this AC unit July 21, 2020. It arrived on time at the end of July and was put aside (in the unopened box) until we were ready to install it in mid-August. When it was installed, it did not work. Initially, we contacted LG directly but their response was basically "sometime in the future we will get back to you on what we are going to do." Two weeks later, we still haven't heard from LG. I then contacted the seller and got the response "you can call LG directly or we will contact them to set a service call." (In fact, the only reason the Seller got any stars is that the item was shipped as stated and they responded to my initial e-mail to them quickly). I replied that I had contacted LG and told Seller the response I received from the company. That was yesterday and am waiting to see if they respond back again today. At this point, either the Seller or LG should pay for the return of the item so that we can buy a unit that actually works. I am very disappointed in LG and also with the Seller as I believe both should be more interested in resolving the problem. I will update this review with further developments. I will not buy from LG ever again due to the poor customer service. ... show more

It is in a south facing bedroom and will cool the whole ranch about 1300 sq feet. and yes there is a smaller window unit in the great area(kitchen, dining, living room) to off set cooking and moving about!
