Perfect setup in my evening sanctuary

I have been using this 50” TV since December 2023 (it’s now January ‘26), with Apple TV 4K, and the VIZIO V-Series 5.1 Home Theater. Banger set up. No, the onboard sound quality isn’t great (which is why external sound has become a must for pretty much every TV). I don’t spend any time with LG’s built in menus or apps, beyond optimizing the initial set up so I have no real complaints about it, knowing I would be using Apple TV full time, when I’m not casting from my phone or iPad (which I’ve had zero issue with, be it to the Apple box or the TV’s built in receiver). If you’re going to equip your TV with a sound system, at minimum, this is a great TV. Highly recommend a 3rd party receiver, like Apple TV, if you don’t jive with LG’s onboard freebies. The picture quality is great via the Apple box, and as an avid photographer, I love seeing my images on this display, as well. I often catch things that I missed on my iPad, before printing them, too. Connectivity to WiFi has also never been an issue. Zero regrets. ... show more

I've had an LG for 15yrs, it finally went. Bought the 75inch. WOW!!! Love it! Honestly it is a bit to big for just myself, but I got it anyway. Easy to put together just myself, however had to get my neighbor to help me lift it on console. Easy to set up with my firestick only took 6 minutes to do so, power cord placement was a no brainer, look at the end of cord and match it up with the same shape on the back of the T.V. and common sense says connect cord before you place it on console or wall. Thats probably why that and how to place batteries in your remote isnt listed in directions. Just saying about others reviews, because I almost changed my mind because of some that were posted, but now know that some just lack a few things. Picture quality is off the chain. I get no buffering so don't understand why some have said that. Remote is not difficult to use at all, the cursor was odd, but in no way was NOT user friendly took me 2 minutes to figire it out and very comfortable in the hand. Sound is clear and can't wait to crank that baby up and put some jams on. Over all very pleased! Great job LG!!! ... show more

Crystal Clear Picture and Good Sound!

Bought this T.V. to replace another fairly new T.V. that was having massive heartburn on almost every level. We are officially a L.G. family now and couldn't be happier! The picture is crystal clear and the color was great right out of the box, however, I will say that, unless it is a MAJOR point for you, turn off all the ECO settings and Local Dimming functions as they take away from the picture quality ... in MY opinion. The volume is nice and loud when set to 15 out of 100. Some people have commented that the T.V. is slow to respond for APPs loading but I just don't see it. Is it 1000% INSTANTANEOUS? No, but again, just in MY opinion, for a streamer to take a few seconds to load is perfectly acceptable. The Magic Remote is responsive and we have other L.G.s in the house with the same remote so we are used to it. Cannot comment on the Voice commands and Alexa features because we don't need or use them. PLEASE NOTE: The picture I uploaded is in NO WAY retouched or edited! I just used the default setting on my camera and there was a flash. I hope you decide to try this T.V.! It is worth the money and not too expensive! I hope you are delighted if you do buy! Can't go wrong with LG

Well it was less than a year and a line kept coming up on it and LG couldn't send somebody out to my poor little town to fix it but they made good on it they sent me another one and they put it in for me and still I love LG

Good tv
Good for its price. Not the best but not the worst. Picture is not as crisp or vivid as my previous tvs. And yes, I know how to adjust picture settings. So 4 stars. Then the rollerball fell in remote in the first few months & the tv was stuck saying volume down, set tv box etc in an annoying voice. To buy a new remote is $30 new & $25 used on Amazon. Luckily, LG sent me a new one for free so back to 5 stars. ... show more

Functionally, the LG TV is a piece of junk. No instruction manual. Poor customer support.

Ships without an instruction manual. Impossible to find one either on the LG site of through customer service. (The latter provides no support) Although the image is good, the ability to navigate the 'smart' features of the device are obscure and not helpful. I would return this except I've discarded the internal shipping; materials and can't figure how to repack it for return to Amazon. Whoever designed the interactive features of this clearly spent no time considering the customer interface with the TV. I'm hardly a novice with technology... began programming in machine language in the early 60's, have a degree in nuclear physics as well as a large amount of computer modeling experience. Also, an MBA in marketing and experience counseling tekkies in startups. Many fail to realize that additional features are useful only if they're easily understood and mastered by the customer. Great picture and sound.

So everyone complains about sound on a led flat screen. Let’s be honest if you get any flat screen tv for the sound you’re not too smart of a consumer. They are meant for picture. Sound here is actually decent. But let’s be real. Get a sound bar set up. I got the Vizio 5.1 surround sound unit with wireless subwoofer and it works perfectly with this tv. Picture quality is great here. For the price point, this 4KUHD is a great option. Glad I purchased it. The interface is fine but I use the fire stick so I’ll stick with that. No issues with refresh rate in sports, wrestling, movies or games. Now a SONY 4k tv was what I wanted, but at the same size Sony wanted 300-$400 more and I just didn’t see the need to spend that.
