Still on my 45 day grace period and I'm going to keep these. I had trouble making out dialog on TV ( yes subtitles are great) could no longer hear birds tweeting ( missed that) And I can hear my wife..a little better ( but she's a " low talker anyway). It's a nice set of aids with its own hearing test included to give you the best possible experience. Different ear adjusters for different size heads. Cleaning brush and cleaning wire to keep the aids working their best and an extensive owners manual and phone numbers in case you need to contact the company. I'm impressed with these hearing aids and for the money you can't beat them. Consumer Reports gave them a good grade..and that's good enough for .me ... show more

I have had these aids for a month. So I feel I can comment on these after being able to learn all it offers. I am a hearing aid lifer for since very little when hearing aids were size of Sony Walkman. I wanted to try them due to reasonable price, ability to tune to my hearing loss, and see if they Lexie delivered all of the other features available. The first, the Lexie Bluetooth download app is very informative, easy to use, it will do a hearing test to find what where you need boosting, thumbs up, although I recommend doing this test a week or two later, because you will be more familiar what testing octaves will sound like. Once this is done the aids calculate the needed gains, and adjust. So what is nice, when I start my day, put in my aids in. Once they are powered up, you can go about your business, here's the nice part, you can use Lexie app to turn up/lower your volume, at the same time, it will tell you how your batteries are holding, in addition it allows you to change your surroundings like normal environment, noisily, music, phone coils, settings that enhance your hearing experience. The only problem is that I suffer from very moderate hearing loss, and although these aids will be more than sufficient for most people, sadly for me I will need more powerful aids, which is sad because said, these aids are going to cause a serious disruption to the hearing aid market simply due to the fact in my experience duplicates what most what most audiologist can do. Withstanding thousands of dollars saved. So I'm not saying that you should not see an audiologist, most definitely you should just to make sure your ears are healthy. But if you are already using aids, the is where these guys really triump over big boys. I see cheap aids that boost only sound, doesn't really address your actual hearing loss or amplify the areas needed to enjoy lifes sounds, these addresse those challenges. This is the third set of these hearing aids I have bought in the last month and they are getting worse every time. This box was sealed with the manufactures seal, but when I opened the box I found dirty used hearing aids, ear wax all over the ear pieces and missing and discolored parts. The first set worked well, but one was damaged within the first month. When I attempted to replace it I was told I could not buy one hearing aid, I would have to buy a complete new set. I purchased a second set and the left one was defective out of the box. I returned them and bought the third set which came used. I am very disappointed in customer service and this company over all. The operation and selections for types of sound amplification work fine. The problem is it "hears" better what is going on behind the ear, rather than in front. If it had the microphone part focused to the front, it would be much better. The full range of ambient room noises are picked up and amplified more than the speech in front of the wearer. (Annoyingly useless in a noisy restaurant.) (Would be great for bow hunter.) ... show more

Truly easy solution for me. Expense kept me from buying hearing aids UNTIL the FDA approved OTC real hearing aids (as opposed to hearing devices). These were easy to adjust to my needs by taking the in app hearing exam and allowing it to customize settings for my hearing loss. Almost instantly, I was hearing sounds I had been deaf to for years. I am 75 so my loss is primarily age related. Last night, I went to a neighbors house to play cards. I could understand the conversation without guessing and trying to read lips. Overall, I am adjusting to these devices and for the most part they have been useful and helped me with hearing. I am working to make adjustments that will improve their value to me, such as figuring out a way to reduce the exaggerated treble sounds and to diminish the frequent random squeaks and squawks. My last set of hearing aids were made by Oticon and cost over $7k. I was determined that the replacement was NOT going to be as expensive. I looked online at many options and even went to my nearby hearing center to get a quote on replacements. Their only option was $8k. So, back to the online thing and after reading many horror stories, I settled on the Lexie hearing aids as they provide everything that the old ones had with the addition of controlling them from my Android phone via Bluetooth. So far, I'm very pleased and I believe that the sound is actually better than the $7k model. Lexie even called a few days into my use, to see if I had any questions. NOPE, happy. I did change the tips after a day or so and then went back through the hearing test procedure to make sure that tips didn't "flavor" the sound in any way. So easy!
