Description

Perfectly balanced and affordable, the Mach I Speed Spool SLP Combo is a superior mid-priced combo. The rod is a one-piece IM8 graphite blank that sports a Winn Dri-Tac handle, Lew’s custom graphite reel seat, and guides constructed with durable stainless steel frames and aluminum oxide inserts. The reel was designed on our ever-popular SLP frame platform, which is 10% smaller than traditional speed spools. Internally the Mach I has solid brass Speed Gears and a 8-bearing system that is always smooth.

I have all the lews combos and absolutely love this one. It actually seems to cast the best even being one of the older models. Could be the different lines that I’m using though. This is a great combo 👍👍

I bought two of the lews mach 1 combos they both worked fine , today the reel on one of the mach 1 s stoped working the drag would not engage and could not be adjusted the reel is not useable unless you want to reel the fish in by hand.

Reel is amazing as always with all lews products. But the pole is mediocre at best. Reason for such a low stars is the packaging. Very large wide box for such a thin item. Wrapped in thing plastic and tossed in box. First shipment came broken in 3 pieces. The box had been bent and ripped. Box had been opened and re tapped. The reel was missing on first arrival. this all im guessing due to ups being horrible. But shipping ways need to be changed. Along with boxes for rods. 2nd shipment box is very similar shape but no rips and sealed right. Rod in good shape reel there. Enjoyed the quick response and items for swap. Buy the reel only. They don't know how to ship rods. ... show more
