Firmware update available via the My Leviton app to enable Matter connectivity - connect locally to any Matter enabled Smart Home platform of your choice. Use your voice with Hey Google, Amazon Alexa or Apple Siri to dim and brighten connected lighting. Use your smartphone, tablet or computer to control lighting or adjust schedules when away from home or anywhere you have access to the internet. Decora Smart plug-in dimmers feature full-range dimming and custom settings for preset light levels, fade rates, and bulb types.The 2nd Gen mini plug-in design allows for two mini plug-ins to be plugged into a 120V standard, AFCI or GFCI outlet – ideal for controlling multiple devices in areas like living rooms, bedrooms, and kitchens. The integrated button provides manual ON/OFF control at any time. I purchased this smart dimmer plugin to use with Leviton’s Anywhere Companion dimmer switches to allow wireless control of spot lights in our guest-room Murphy bed. I first used the device in a weather protected location to control our Christmas lights before completing the Murphy bed project. The smart plug worked flawlessly and reliably with a schedule on the Leviton app. Now I have two of the smart plugs to power the left and right spotlights in the Murphy bed with an Anywhere Companion dimmer separately controlling each. Setup and pairing could not have been easier and more straightforward, following the well-written instructions. I am not disappointed by the fact that dimming does not go too low because the spot lights are LED and are rated down to only 10%. Integration with Alexa was also very simple from the Leviton app, so now the smart plugs can be easily controlled from Alexa, from the Leviton app and from the Anywhere Companion dimmer switches. I am pleased with the product especially because it works as I had expected, appears to have a quality build, and for the price has operational flexibility without the need for a hub. ... show more

    • Best Dimmable Smart Plugs
A year ago I purchased a bunch of SONOFF smart plugs and they worked great until my internet went out during a bad thunderstorm. I didn't realize they only worked over the cloud and not over a local network. I also didn't know that dimmable smart plugs existed. I haven't tested it yet but these are advertised as being able to work over LAN and do not require internet so the next time ours goes down I shouldn't have to go around and unplug all of them like I had to before. The dimming capabilities are also a huge plus since I replaced all my bulbs with super bright GE LED ones. The setup and google integration went super fast and I can't be happier with my purchase. These cost quite a bit more than the SONOFF ones I previously had but in my opinion they are well worth it. Five Stars! ... show more

Works great. Allows us to control some floor lamps in a room where we like to relax. Allows us to dim them using some of the built in programming on command or automated.

    • Installation is A TOTAL MESS
The sloppiness of the software for this thing is incredible. I’ve installed numerous HomeKit devices - this is the worst. First, if you try to do a HomeKit install without first using their app it trashes the state of the device - see firmware issue below. Ok so I factory reset and try to create an account and init it with app. Fine. But their account creation is pathetic: - does the app use  standard password suggestions? NOPE - Does it save your account in the iCloud keychain? NOPE! It’s common courtesy to do this if you are going to demand I create an account. So I got it to work with their app (which I don’t care about at all). So now should be easy to hook it up to HomeKit. Nope. It fails. So then I think “ updated HomeKit on Sept 2022 (4 mos ago), maybe there’s a firmware update I need?” So I dig around in the app and sure enough there is a firmware update. WHY doesn’t the app just compare the latest firmware to the device’s firmware and proactively suggest the update? Because without the update it Will NOT work with HomeKit. Pathetic. Fine. I update the firmware using the Leviton app. Then I try to add it to HomeKit (it already knows my WiFi and the manual says you can do this after the Leviton setup). NOPE. Fails over an over. An no I’d not have a WiFi mismatch or some other stupid network/iOS/HK issue. I know networking and HomeKit super well. So I do a factory reset. HomeKit still won’t sync. So I initialize it again into the Leviton app. Then try HomeKit. Still fails. I’m done. Into the trash it goes where it belongs. The Meross dimmer I have was set up in 5 minutes. ... show more

    • Works with Matter
I bought this dimmer plug to work with my Matter-based home automation system (Home Assistant). Getting it to do so took a few steps -- I had to create a Leviton account and install their app to opt in to Matter updates and update the firmware to support Matter, and to get the matter pairing code for the plug (there being no Matter barcode on the plug). But once that was all done, I was able to easily add the device to Home Assistant, and I found the Matter support very good. The only settings in the app and missing from Home Assistant are for the LED on the plug and a minimum brightness level for compatibility with LEDs. It appears that firmware updates will be supported via Matter. In at least one way, the matter support is better than the native app, allowing much longer on/off transition times. I have removed the plug from my Leviton devices and deleted the My Leviton app from my phone, so it is all local, all Matter now. The dimmer provides nice flicker-free dimming of my LED lamp. I would have given five stars if I were able to set up the plug with Matter without the Leviton app and account. ... show more

I am using this plug with a set of "11ft LED String Lights" because I needed to dim them down to match other Christmas lights I have inside. This plug works 100% for this purpose. After getting the plug set up in the Leviton app, it did took me 2 attempts to get the Alexa app to recognize it. But since getting it added, it's worked without any issue whatsoever. So overall, I think this is a good smart plug if you want one with dimming capability. ... show more
