Be careful with Levi's belt reviews. They're all grouped together here and can look as if they are all reviews of the belt you're viewing, when they're actually about many different types. This review is for the Levi's belt style "Bridle Black." Belt itself is 1 1/2 inches wide and very thick. It's one piece of solid leather, not cardboard sandwiched between thin leather veneers and stitched together like some dress belts (and maybe other Levi's belts reviewed here). Buckle is heavy and looks just like the photo of this style. I wear 40-inch pants and ordered a 42-inch length. The belt fastens comfortably right in the middle of the holes, so room to tighten or loosen. Was reluctant to buy this because of reviews stating belt was cheap, thin and not solid leather. But I failed to look at the STYLE of Levi's belt the reviewer had bought, so it can be confusing. The "Levi's Men's Casual Leather Belt" in the style "Bridle Black" is a thick, one-piece, heavy work belt with a solid, well-made burnished-silver-colored buckle that looks just like the picture of this style. Should last for years of daily use. Five star product. UPDATE: Four months of daily wear and belt still looks new. It shows the expected indentations where belt makes contact with buckle, but the thing will likely outlast me.

I bought this to replace the same model, which had worn out after years of use. Delivered in early June. I was very happy with this belt, and used 3-4 days a week for 2 months. This would have been a 4 star review. But it's not. The belt fell apart after two months of use, and one month after the return date. When I tried to buckle up, the tongue fell to the floor. The part of the buckle that connects to the tongue had disintegrated/disappeared. Very disappointed.

I tried both M and L belts (different "colors" this M in matte, the L in pitch) and there's...inconsistency...in the sizing and materials. I wear a 35ish waist: 34 in some brands, 35 in some, and "L" in house pants. For me, the M is...okay, but I have to wear it at the 2nd hole. But it works (contrary to the product advice). The "L" (recommended for my waist) I have to wear on the 2nd to last hole, and it leaves a long tail that sticks out awkwardly. I can slide the buckle over (classy) and it sticks out less, but it's then perfectly placed to bump my hand every time I use my jeans pocket. Every time. I wouldn't follow their sizing advice unless you're on the low-side of the range for a given size. The material is different between the two colors, not just the color. But so is the buckle, the placement of the holes, the cut, the types of holes, and even the branding. Look at my photo of the M and L lined up. The effective difference in the length of the belt is considerable, explaining my 'tight or floppy' dilemma. (note I bought both "sold & shipped by amazon" so it's not a reseller issue). Belt sizing is often weird, being too tight or too long unless you fall at the low end of the size being bought. But there's too many differences here, inconsistencies between versions and listing, and it's sort of a funny material--is it layered? Sandwiched? Will it peel like old vinyl in a few weeks use? What exactly does the "blend" mean, this isn't cloth. The buckle on the listing for "M" (matte silver metal) isn't the buckle I got (pictured: matte black metal). I'm not sure if this worth the Levis name, if it's a shoddy factory, or what. But unless it holds up exceptionally well, it's not something I'm overly keen on having bought. You might want to keep looking.

Nice belt. Well made. Attractive. Goes good with Jeans, but the loose end was too long and stuck out. I Had to move the loose end of the belt out of the way to get into my pocket or wear it offset from the center of my jeans. I Have a 36" waist and ordered 38" per instructions. When belt arrived the size was marked for 38 to 40. Dual sized belts do not work for me. Returned the belt and received a prompt refund from Amazon.

This is a good solid belt. I really like the the color and feel/texture of it. The stitching adds a nice touch to it too. The sizing was a little tricky though. I had to order 3 sizes to finally get the right size. I am about 5'8" tall, weigh about 165 pounds. I wear a 32W 30L in Levi's 513 and 514 jeans, and I still have a little wiggle room. At first, I bought the 32 and 34 together, thinking I'd just return the one that didn't fit. The 32 belt size did not fit me at all; I could barely buckle it through the outermost hole. To my surprise, the 34 was a bit short too. I could comfortably buckle it through the 2nd to last hole, but there wasn't really enough belt left to go through the 1st belt loop (the one immediately next to the button) on my pants. If I tried to buckle it through the 3rd to last hole, it would be way too tight. So then I had to order the 36. Viola! It fit! I am able to buckle it through the 3rd to last hole comfortably with just the right amount of belt left to go through the belt loop. Just for reference, the 2nd to last hole would be way too loose, not even holding anything up at that point. The 4th to last hole is snug, but still passable and doesn't look overly long either. Firm leather? Check! Normal not funky leather smell? Check! Sizing perfect following 2 up rule? Check! Oh last but not least overall belt quality excellent? DOUBLE CHECK! There you have it. I fell in love with the Levi's brand a while ago after wearing enough of their pants I finally realized this is a brand that takes pride in their products and produces higher quality products at that.

The original Levi's belt lasted far longer than it should have since it was worn with everything, from work clothes to church. After researching the options and finding what seemed like the same belt, it was ordered. The new belt is almost exactly like the old one, a good fit, the hardware is functional and sturdy, yet the leather seems just a little bit different, has just a tough of the feel of ......plastic. However, I would buy this belt again and, like the old one, am wearing it daily.
