I have a 26 inch waist and 40 inch hips. I usually can wear a 28 in Levi’s but went with 29. These are only slightly stretchy mostly denim. They’re nice and sturdy denim but flexible not stiff. I had about 1-2 inches of a waist gap but I almost always do with Levi’s or non curvy clothing. I absolutely love the length as I hate my cellulite on the back of my upper thighs so this conceals it. I am 5’3” for reference. It is a button up vs zipper. Holds the mom pooch in well. They do bag out a bit after wearing 5-6 hours I noticed they were more loose and baggy than when I first put them on but they stayed at that level of being bagged out for the rest of the day.

These are good shorts! I am so particular when looking for shorts that it feels nearly impossible to find a pair I actually like. I only like: real cotton denim, a real 5” inseam (not 5” BEFORE a cuff), no holes or distressed hems, and not spending $80 on one pair. I got these on sale for $26 and they’ve been great. I am not a huge fan of the button fly but at least it isn’t bulky and it lays pretty flat. I’d say it runs pretty true to size. . I’m 5’7” and 145lb and ordered what was the equivalent to a size 6 (28?). There isn’t much wiggle room in my hips and the waist is a bit too large, but that’s to be expected with my waist to hip ratio. If it was a regular zipper fly and it fit my waist, these would be a home run for sure. As is, I’m pretty content and have another pair on their way.

These jean shorts are the perfect rise and length for me which makes me feel comfortable. My thighs are pretty big so I always feel weird about them just spilling out with shorter shorts but these cover them. Makes my thigh less sweaty too. The rise while high, doesn’t super exaggerate my lower belly area the way some high rises tend to do. I think the sturdiness of the denim plus being reinforced with a button fly closure instead of zipper really helps to hold everything in. Love the look and thickness of the fabric. It is 100% cotton so there’s no stretch. It fits quite snug when I put it on but it does loosen up a bit later on. The only minor issue is that the band starts to fold over when I don’t wear it with a belt and it leaves a little bit of a gap. Other than that, it’s one of my favorite pairs of Levi’s and the only shorts I’ll wear for the summer! If I can find this exact pair in black, i’d be pretty happy **SIZING: I went by the measurement of my hips to choose the size on the chart. In some of the other Levi's jeans that have elastane in them, i'm a 31 or 32 because they more stretch, and as I've mentioned before, these are 100% cotton so they do not have any stretch. I wouldn't recommend these for more curvier folks with a smaller waist or else you'll have that gapping around at the waist.

I would say you should size up with these jeans if you're not a skinny minny. I'm pretty curvy and usually wear a 32, I purchased a 33 and they are too tight. I'm returning them for a 34 after waiting weeks for them to come. Hoping sizing up will be good because they are really cute.

I have no idea how these shorts came on my radar, but so glad they did ! Fantastic fit, yes these run small since there is zero stretch (no spandex). Comfortable and the length is perfect - not too short and stylish. For reference I normally wear a 6 in shorts/pants or a s/m, for these short I ordered a 31 waist. Not tight but also not so big that I must wear a belt. Happy purchase!

I really want to like these shorts because the wash and the cut are super cute. I normally wear a 32 in Levis, but that size wouldn't even go up over my thighs. The 33 was SUPER tight and the 34 is really snug. Since these are no stretch, I was looking for them to fit the way they appear in teh picture. I'm going to have to return them and pass since they only go up to a 34. I'm curvy, so maybe these are just meant for figures that are a little more straight.

So far I have loved having these shorts. I was looking for a pair of shorts that was the perfect length and I found them. I was tired of all these jean shorts that would ride up and become too short for comfort. I have Levi jeans so I thought why not give these a try. The shorts themselves are a great material and I love the five button fly. The only thing I would warn against and why I gave them four stars was for girlies like me who have bigger thighs. Though they fit perfectly in the waste they are a little snugger than I would like around my thighs. However that being said they still look adorable. And my thighs don’t seem to gobble these up as much as other shorts I’ve tried. Overall great choice for summer shorts.
