Clever product, well constructed. I got this all-in-one unit and also the bolt that fits inside a very specific list of existing hardware. I managed to install both of them myself, but really should have hired a locksmith instead. If the Apollo mission folks published their how-to documentation in the same succinct form as the Level lock instructions it would've read "1) sit on top of rocket, 2) light fuse, 3) send selfies from moon." Installing these things is much, much, MUCH more finicky and challenging than the three or four panels of illustrations in the instruction book even remotely indicate. Now that they're in and working I'm happy I got them, but that's mostly because the human species has, by design, a limited memory for painful experiences. ... show more

So happy to never need to carry keys anymore! This smart lock is a breeze to install. I found the instructions very intuitive and the assembly of the lock into the door surprisingly satisfying! I love how the bolt clicks into the lock body! The actual "smart lock" portion is entirely hidden inside the door, so from the outside it looks like any other lock. The included exterior lock cylinder is very clean and sharp looking. I was a bit worried about the matte black color, but II think it looks great in person. The home kit compatibility is great and feels very well thought out. I love being able to just tell Siri to lock my door. Nothing but good things to say about this lock! We were looking for a smart lock for a while and settled for this one and I’m so happy with my purchase. The lock came in a beautiful package and the quality of the lock is amazing. It took us just few mins to figure out how to install. It comes with all the instructions. It took us like 15 mins to install. There were few questions and we wanted to know how to remove the lock so we called the customer service and I must say they were so quick in solving my problem. Amazing customer service. The lock works like charm very easy to lock and unlock specially for the kids and if you have lot of shopping bags in your hands or when it’s dark you don’t have to look for the keys and jiggle around. I’ve been eyeing the Level Lock for a while now. I kept going between their bolt and touch edition model. When they came out with the Level Lock, it was perfect. I wanted the black finish and will be ordering a matching handleset for my new home renovation. My requirements were pretty simple; Works with my Apple Watch (via HomeKit), App for guests to open/close, ease of use for the grandparents to access the home with a key. I only wished there was a way to get the keyway keyed before getting it to match the other locks. I’ll definitely be back for more after taking this for a longer spin. $249 is a great price point for what you’re getting. Install was pretty easy. I had a brand new cut door, so I didn’t have to do any retrofitting. I had to chisel out the frame side a bit, but my handyman took care of that for me. ... show more

I was looking for a smart lock and did not find anything that is slim and looked like a regular lock. This little one caught my attention because of this design and integration with homekit. The lock comes with a excellent packaging and precise instructions to install. When installed, no one could say it is a smart lock - it is that well designed. The integration with app and homekit was simple and was done in less than a minute. I have now integrated with rest of the home automation and works like a charm everytime. We needed a lock for our back rental unit and wanted to install a smart lock. All the others I've seen look so bulky or ugly - but not this one! Level Lock looks like a normal lock, but has all of the smarts hidden inside. It was easy to install since we had a brand new door, but I did need to order a short strike plate from the Level website since the one that came with it was too long. After lots of research, I replaced my old smart lock with the Level Lock. I only have it for a few days but so far I just love everything about it. The lock looks and feels high quality. I was surprised how small it is with all the technology that’s hidden inside, you can barely tell it’s a smart lock. Installation is super easy (everything you need is included) and the Level app has a clear and modern UI (which is not the case with so many other smart lock apps). This lock is great and I highly recommend! - Appearance - the look of the lock is nice and sleek and not bulky like some of the other locks I've seen (and use - I have the Schlage Encode for one of our doors). - Application - the Lock app used to connect the lock was simple and straightforward - Installation - this lock was very easy to install; the only issue I have is the strike plate is larger, so need to widen the frame to fit it in (Prior reviews talk about an extender - I didn't need it, but it did come with an extender for the bolt) ... show more
