I love the format of this book. It contains twelve letters to fill out (each includes a prompt) and give to a grandchild on a future date. I have one for each of my seven grandchildren. Each year on their birthdays I fill out one letter. On their twelfth birthdays, I plan to give them their book.

Recently my wife and I found out we were pregnant with our first child! Telling our parents and immediate family in a special way was really important to us! My wife found these "Letters to my Grandchild" while surfing the internet for ideas and announcement gifts. After searching forever, and coming across the traditional announcement ideas, my wife came upon these letters to my grandchildren and immediately fell in love with the idea! The book is well put together, and the different letter ideas are perfect! Can't wait to see this come to life for our future child years down the road! This may not be a traditional surprise announcement, but it worked great and our parents loved them.
