My grandma who is the matriarch of our large family turned 82 this year, so I gifted her this "homework" birthday present this year...lol. It really is a beautifully done prompt book. I'm very excited to read all the things that never came up or the little things I never thought to ask my grandmother. It would be an honor to discover and document her life, memories, regrets and thoughts and wishes in her own words and by her own pen and in her own time. It's really something i will cherish when she's gone and hopefully I'll be able to collect other little unknowns for my family to treasure. I'll definitely be making copies for everyone...my grandmothers homework that is... ... show more

Bought one for each grandparent as a Christmas gift. I really hope they take the time to fill them out. It occurred to me reading through the prompts how little I know even about my own parents when they were young. The fabric cover is beautiful and I feel like it won't look dated as my child ages and I pass them on. The variety of questions is good and allows for some flexibility depending on each person's history. For example, my mother-in-law is adopted, so she won't know some of the details about her birth. But there are so many other sections, I think she can skip over it without feeling too awkward. Grandparents seemed to love the idea and I look forward to reading their answers! ... show more

This is a beautiful book! Ordering for all the grandparents, and a friend of mines mom that just found out she will be a Grand momma! Unfortunately when opening to gift wrap it just now,(ordered a few weeks ago) it appears to have a marker mark on the front cover! as this is presented as a great heirloom piece(it really is great quality) I would hope to gift with out the mark. It may seem a bit silly as its such a small thing...Looked for contacting seller before going through refund/return to purchase again and did not find this option. Now debating on what to do to fix issue... Overall this a stunning book, and love all the prompts they give! I can see it being passed down for years to come.. Would be an amazing gift to all the grandparents out there even if you are grown! I look forward to reading everything my parents write! ... show more
