The lamp looks good, and the gooseneck and lamp flex so you can aim the lamp almost any direction, including straight up if you bend the gooseneck at a 90 degree angle. My only complaint is that the "1.8 meter" cord is really only effectively 2 feet when measured from the lamp base out to the plug. The rest of the cord's length is taken up going up the pole as pictured. You'll get a bit more distance if you don't run the cord down the pole before heading it toward the outlet, but who wants a cord angled like that from the lamp to the wall? Not a deal breaker for me, but plan on using an extension cord if it's not very close to an outlet. ... show more

I use this lamp in my craft room in my basement. The base is heavy, so it won't tip over if bumped into to by pets or kids. The body bends to what direction you need the light on. I can turn the light on my ironing board, or toward my sewing table. without ever moving the whole floor lamp. What I love the most is where they put the on and off switch. It is so easy to get to. This is a sturdy simple lamp, easy to put together. I am very happy with it. The price is right. I bought it to use as a reading lamp in my bedroom. I needed it to fit in a small tight space. It does that. The on off switch is arms length. I like where it’s positioned. Happy I purchased this lamp 👍🏼

I wanted a simple, but solid floor lamp. This is it. The neck adjusts to most any angle and sometimes I want my light shining directly on something, while at other times I want it aimed a little bit off to the side, or maybe up a bit, or down. Easy. Simple on/off switch in the cord, which I'd rather have on the lamp itself but the inline switch is at least close to the top of the lamp and would be much easier to replace if it ever fails than a built-in switch would be. It's solid and won't tip. There are not assembly instructions but who even needs them? If you can't figure out how to screw together the parts using no screws or tools, I feel bad for you. Takes maybe a couple of minutes, it's just 3 identical threaded tubes, a base, and the top with the light. The base is heavy so stands solidly. All the parts are machined properly and fit together perfectly. Its simple, and solid. Perfect. It works. ... show more

This is a very useful floor lamp. The only negative I found is that when adjusting the gooseneck area, the pole below tends to get easily loosened by the movement and needs to be tightened. Aside from that, it's a great lamp.
