These are SOLIDLY made with excellent illumination! Three color temperatures, as advertised, I picked the softest setting; solid metal construction, including--most importantly--the metal stake (the plastic stakes frequently break); and a nice bronze look. Way less expensive than actual brass or bronze fixtures, and these seem very reliable (I hope). Easy to install--IF you have pre-existing low-voltage wiring and a transformer, which we do. (I used a simple low-voltage connector to hook-up the lights, faster & easier than splicing the electrical line.) Otherwise, you will need to purchase a low voltage transformer separately and put in the wiring. For us, these were replacement fixtures, and I couldn't be happier. Love 'em!! ... show more

I was shopping around for path lights for the front yard. My wife has to be pleased, I had bought other models that were not acceptable. The ability to switch between temperature ratings of the lights (the warm to daylight settings) was terrific. It allowed my an comparison of settings to choose from and made it easy to please my wife. The downward hat was easily removed to change the temperature setting with a click of a button. The lights are very well made, nothing cheap about them. The light pattern is perfect, directing all the light down on to the ground. No upward glare. The lights illuminate a 12 foot diameter area allowing 12 to 15 foot spacing. I had them hooked up temporally with wire stretch across the ground to the power supply to try out different locations and settings. ... show more

Replaced cheap plastic set from big box store. These are well made with aluminum shafts, metal base, and aluminum caps. Pieces are threaded together. Includes 4 foot wire which makes install easier. The lights are significantly brighter than on cheap sets with the light facing only downward. With 3000K setting the light is fairly soft as I desire. Easy to install, I cut and spliced the main wire with the fixtures. Hopefully these will last. ... show more

Well two flaws. But in general well made, and the ability to select the color temp is great. The flaws: the threads on the post aren't painted, they gonna rust in days. And the post is very tall, a shorter option will work better for my application and the taller the more susceptible to getting whacked by just about anything. ... show more

The quality was better than expected. The waterproof wire nuts that come with these nuts are useless because the wires in these lights are 18 gauge and The low voltage line cable is typically 12 gauge, so buy yourself the appropriate waterproof wire nuts. Also, the downside to these is that the bulbs are not replaceable. Once they take a dump, you're stuck. ... show more
