I genuinely love this machine. The Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition hits a sweet spot that very few Windows laptops manage: it’s versatile, well-built, lightweight, and actually enjoyable to use day to day. The display is excellent. Brightness is genuinely impressive and easily on par with my MacBook Pro M5 Liquid Retina. Colors are vibrant, contrast is strong, and it holds up well even in bright rooms. For drawing, note-taking, and PDF work, it’s a great panel. Build quality is solid without feeling heavy. It feels like a premium device but doesn’t punish you for carrying it around all day. The 2-in-1 hinge is sturdy and confidence-inspiring, and tablet mode is actually usable instead of being a gimmick. Performance is… fine. The processor is a bit underpowered if you’re expecting workstation-level speed, but that’s not really what this machine is for. For meetings, note-taking, PDF annotation, browsing, and general productivity, it’s perfectly adequate. If you’re trying to render video or compile large projects, look elsewhere. Out of the box Windows experience is the usual mess. Too much bloatware, McAfee junk that should not exist in 2026, and some general Windows jank. Stylus and touch interactions can occasionally feel slightly off, but again, this is Windows being Windows. Nothing is broken, just occasionally inelegant. Where this thing absolutely crushes everything else is Lenovo’s handwriting-to-text software. It’s absurdly good. I can handwrite notes during a meeting, casually and quickly, and walk out with a clean, typed document ready to share. It’s fast, accurate, and shockingly reliable. This alone makes the laptop worth owning if you live in meetings or do a lot of handwritten thinking. PDF annotation is also excellent. Doodling, marking up documents, signing, highlighting, exporting with annotations intact, all quick and painless. This is clearly what Lenovo optimized the Yoga line for, and it shows. The included stylus is solid and practical. About 18 hours of battery life, charges easily, feels good in hand, and doesn’t feel like an afterthought accessory. Bottom line: This is not a raw power machine. It is an outstanding productivity, note-taking, and creative thinking device. The combination of a great screen, good pen, genuinely useful handwriting recognition, and flexible 2-in-1 form factor makes it incredibly useful in real life. AVOID LENOVO at all costs! The single worst customer service experience I have ever had with a tech company. I purchased this item from Lenovo directly. The item arrived missing the pen and the charger. Lenovo REFUSED to send me these items. Their solution? Return the product and roll the dice on purchasing another one.
