  • Works great with Thinkpad E14
If you have an older version of one of these then make sure you upgrade to the latest firmware for this hub. There are two specific files -- one for the hub and the other for the SD reader. Visit the Lenovo Support page and you'll find the latest version from late 2022. These will fix the issues that have been reported in the comments. I just got mine in July 2023 and it works flawlessly with Windows 11 and my Thinkpad E14. ... show more

  • Does the job
Working from home now and needed to set up dual monitors. This adapter worked like a charm.

  • Super. Buy it.
My Lenovo 730s has THUNDERBOLT 3 technology. That allows it to run a TON of peripherals off a single micro USB. You need to buy this to run all the external stuff. I has only one HDMI, so if you want to run more monitors, you may need to spend more. Works perfect.

  • Some issues with monitor connection
I am using this with a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 connected to an HP M27f monitor. When I connect the monitor directly to the computer's HDMI output, I do not have any issues. When using the hub, however, I do not have the ability to adjust the monitor brightness electronically in Windows 11 (using the Monitorian app), like I am able to do when connected directly to the computer. This is important to me because I work from home and the amount of ambient light varies from day to night, and it is a real pain in the rear to manually adjust the brightness (you have to go through several menus on this model monitor...). I am also limited to 60Hz framerate when using the hub (not an issue for me but could be for others). I would like to note that I have a different USB-c docking station at my office, and I have no problems adjusting monitor brightness electronically when I am using that station at work. It is only a problem with this 7-in-1 hub. I do like a single connection, and the price point is good compared to other more expensive docking stations (like the one I have at my office), but this brightness issue is too annoying and I will likely return and replace with something else. I suppose I could use the HDMI cable directly with my laptop and have a 2-plug connection, but that sort of defeats the purpose of having this 7-in-1 hub if one of the connections does not work properly. Another minor issue is the length of the USB-c connection, it is rather short and does not work well if you plan to elevate your laptop using a stand. I mitigated that with some velcro attached to the wall, but the product would certainly be improved if Lenovo would make the cable length only slightly longer. ... show more

  • Perfect
Works perfect for my Thinkpad. No issues at all. My daughter try on her Razer Blade and works good, except charging port off course because of different charging port.

  • Life Saver!
In the attached photo, you'll see the Lenovo USB-C hub connecting an HDMI monitor, Bluetooth wireless mouse/keyboard and a WiFi module all while charging the laptop using the native 65W charger. Not being used in the photo, there are additional USB Type A ports and a port to share the 65W charge through to another device like your phone. The USB-C male cord is permanently fixed to the hub, So, it will be sitting to the side of the laptop in all cases, unless you buy a female-to-male cord to adapt the two. If you have one of the modern Thinkpads with USB C Thunderbolt, and you're apt to use up all the provided ports along the side of the small chassis, you need this. There are other "off-brand" options, but I don't particularly trust them. This Lenovo branded one is about twice the cost, but the assurance of build quality and functionality was important to me at the time. I am a landscape designer, now working mostly from home and my girlfriend is an educator, also working from home, and we both use Thinkpads for our respective work. ... show more

  • Longevity and resilience
I replaced the previous Model C116 (which I got through Amazon in Jan 2019) with this LC700: It would not transmit video any longer consistently (neither via HMDI nor VGA). I suspect the USB-C connector from it to the computer. (Maybe Lenovo if they read this wants me to send it to them for analysis?) This new one works, so the computer port is good, thank goodness. I hope the new one will continue to work: maybe I was too rough with the first one: I think these should not be moved around much - like putting then into computer back still attached. The LC700 does not have the VGA, nor the Ethernet connector, and one less USB. They both have one (only) HDMI port. ... show more
