  • Works great... but refurb doesn't come with necessary usb c cord
I bought a refurbished version of this product. It had a couple little scuffs, but otherwise was perfectly fine. Except, it didn't come with a usb-c cable. No biggie. Usb-c cables are pretty universal, right? WRONG. In order to use this docking station and get video, you're going to need a hefty usb-c that can handle video and power. I saw another reviewer here recommend a Lenovo brand cable, but damn... that's over $50 right now. Instead, I got an Anker Power Line 2 (usb-c 3.1) cable, and it worked great, but was significantly less expensive (still not cheap tho). Once that happened, my monitor was working. I did have a little bit of an issue with the hdmi, but instead of fiddling with that (old cable maybe?) I just used the display port. Worked beautifully. I previously had an Amazon docking station, and it worked, but the damn thing crapped out only a couple months after the warranty, in the middle of a very important exam. Lesson learned: spend the money on a good docking station. I'm hoping this will do better, especially given the longevity of my Lenovo laptop (it's been great!). Anyway, the TL;DR is, the doc works, it works good, but you may or may not get a good enough usb-c cable that you'll need to really make it work. Order a really good usb-c 3.1 cable or better if you buy this. Worst case, you get lucky and just return the cable. I knocked the product one star specifically because of this. It's not a cable you can just go to Walmart and find, ya know? It should be included, always. ... show more

  • Partial shipment, no USB-C cable
Wish I had taken a closer look at previous reviews to help me realize my order would be no different in not getting a USB-C cable (as advertised) in the box. This was extremely inconvenient as I needed to complete my setup to meet a tight deadline - which was affected by not having the complete product as purchased. No QC controls translate to poor customer experience. ... show more

  • Only received part of what was supposed to be sent
I received the Lenovo docking station, but the power cord/power adapter that was sent with it is for some kind of Dell product and it's not compatible, also there was no USB C cable included. Luckily I had both a compatible power cord/power adapter and a USB C cable, and so far it seems to be working. Also, the description says that it will be in excellent condition with no signs of cosmetic damage visible from 12 inches away, yet there are numerous scratches that can be seen from farther way then 12 inches. ... show more

  • It just plain works
This unit supports HD resolution on 2 external monitors, and doesn't seem to get overly warm under continuous load. In short - it just plain works. If you're planning on using QHD or UHD monitors, your mileage may vary = I've not tested those configurations. Performs well.

  • Looks NEW
This dock came neatly packaged in a Lenovo box. After about 15 minutes of use the unit would drop all connections for a couple of seconds. I've seen this issue before. Flashed the firmware on the DOCK not the laptop and it seems stable now. Note: The Lenovo updater did not detect the out of date dock firmware. I had to search online for the dock software update. It was easy to find. ... show more

  • This was Definitely not inspected
The dock works however had an issue today where it disabled the Ethernet on its own randomly (Unsure if windows caused this on its own or also dock acting up). Being connected to a corporate laptop, this was a major concern as it made fixing the connection harder than normal. Dock also has lots of wear and tear scratches but other than that all of the other ports function as they should. I did swap out my Ethernet cord and it seems stable now. ... show more
