Nice comfy computer (I seem to be trending more towards Lenovos and more Lenovos) enjoyed display, keyboard, weight, responsiveness -- and 4 hours after opening the package it stopped working. Not the vendor's fault! Windows wanted to do a "critical update" and on the 2nd of 3 updates it rebooted into a blank screen -- and stuck. Windows has been occasionally biting me with these since 1991. After a little conversation with supportive staff, I ordered a second Lenovo while waiting for them to get the first fixed. I regret nothing! Enjoy having the spare computer, and look forward to seeing what else the vendor has in a few more paydays. ... show more

I bought this for my wife for school. She is extremely picky when it comes to computers and has never had a laptop. She loves it! It is fast and super easy for her to use. She is most happy with how well the mouse works. Great price and value. Arrived quickly too.

    • Lasted less then a year
I bought this as a work, and travel device, which at first it worked fine, but then subtly started getting worse, eventually it wouldn't even start up. After troubleshooting for hours I found out that the hard drive went mechanically. All this in less then a couple months.

    • Product Quality Issues
Summary - Marginal product quality - reasonable customer service. Amazon Seller - Skytech USA Bought initial laptop thru Amazon (Skytech USA refurbished Lenovo L440) to use for home schooling kids. It ran for about two days and then the charging port (not charger) quit accepting a charge. Returned to Amazon for refund and ordered another laptop (Lenovo T530) as a replacement. This unit arrived configured for French Canadian region. We are a US customer - and do not speak French. Unit would not allow change to US English during Windows setup. Contacted seller. They offered two solutions. (1) Download and reimage system with Win10 -or- (2) They ship replacement hard drive with Win10 in English. We chose option 2. Skytech said they would ship new drive via priority express but it was shipped by ground instead which resulted in a long delay as this was coming from Canada (Skytech USA name is misleading since they appear to be a Canadian company). Meanwhile, kids are getting further behind in school due to lack of a working laptop. Installed replacement drive and laptop is now working. We will see how it holds up over the next week or so. So, not happy about all the quality issues but are glad that Skytech was helpful in getting the issue resolved - with exception of delay in delivery of replacement drive. Amazon advertises that these machines are refurbished with particular attention being paid to ensuring they work properly.     • Bordering on 2 stars: you get what you pay for
I bought this item when it was $209.99. At that price point, I think it can be a good buy depending on your needs. At its current $300+ price point, I would not buy. I've had this laptop for about a year and a half, and there have been 2 major incidents so far. The first incident was my hard drive dying unexpectedly: I left the laptop on and left the room, then when I came back the battery was dead. When I plugged it in I discovered the drive died. I have no idea what caused this and I'm sure no human/animal tampered it while I was gone. The second incident is the laptop's usb ports suddenly dieing. This computer comes with 4 usb ports, and currently only one recognizes my wireless mouse. For whatever reason one of the bad ports can recognize a usb storage device, but none of the bad ports recognize my mouse. There seems to be no reason for why they stop working: my most recent one stopped working in the middle of me working on my laptop normally. They've been dieing at a rate of about one every 6 months. I have been very satisfied with the laptop in every other respect, but these two incidents make me anxious that some sudden issue could come up when I really need it not to and it ultimately means I can't rely on the laptop. If you can afford not to rely on the laptop and the price/spec ratio works for you, I'd recommend to buy. Otherwise, this is a no go. ... show more

When I received my order it had been damaged in shipping. I contacted the company and they immediately sent me a replacement for the damaged unit. The replacement was better than the computer I had originally ordered. I am so pleased with their service and refurbished computer that my partner will be ordering one from them.
