Perfect for want I wanted. Great audio quality. Easy install using vehicle specific harness kits (bought elsewhere). Android auto works great. Lots of custom audio controls allows tailoring sound to your preferences.

The media could not be loaded. So for starters, i am not an experienced audio person. I just wanted to upgrade my radio to an aftermarket because i didnt like my factory radio. However i did not know this radio was more difficult than i thought it would be. I ended up taking it into a shop because i couldnt figure it out. First and foremost, the sound is amazing. The video of the radio is in a 2014 mazda cx5 with factory door speakers. You can customize the equalizer with many different slots to save your customization. The apple carplay does NOT work wirelessly. You have to connect it via usb. However you can just connect to the bluetooth if you dont want to use the usb. In the video mine is bluetooth as of right now. With this radio, i did not get a wiring harness with the radio so i had to buy that separately and manually wire everything. It also did not come with an antenna cord. the size was a bit small but its a good size for the radio it fits good in my car. Overall, it was a pain in the bottom to get this sucker in but at the end of it all i love it. ... show more

    • Great stereo but . . .
This is a great stereo for the price, but there are a few things that are aggravating. The install and setup is pretty easy. There are a lot of equalizer settings to adjust to your desired taste. A neat feature is that you can mute the volume when you put the vehicle into reverse. Helps hearing the nanny beeps. The cons are that bluetooth and carplay settings are not the same. You can only do carplay through the USB plug unless you get a wireless adapter for around $40. The back up camera has a bar that comes across the screen every time you put the shifter in reverse. It blocks a large portion of the screen, so you need to tap on it to make it go away. The controls on the side change color, and so far I have not been able to find in the instructions how to keep it on one color. (This is minor, but still annoying) It is a 1/4" larger HxL than the Metra install kit, so needed to do some customization. ... show more

Its kinda annoying parking brake and reverse wire are nor removeable from head unit but no one is going to change that nice quality works well when you go in to reverse seeing you hooked it up the volume lower thats nice

    • Perfect update to 2005 Camry
After lots of research I pulled the trigger on this Kenwood. It was 100% the right choice. Unit is intuitive and sounds great. Very responsive touchscreen, exactly what I was looking for. For the microphone I mounted it at rear view mirror, fit wire behind headliner until I reached driver side wire channel, then followed available wiring above gas/break to stereo using tie straps. GPS goes from driver side dash and follows same path. A long USB cable for phone plug-in can be snaked nearly anywhere, I brought it down the side and used a command strip clip to mount it. The DMX7709s is not a bad stereo. It sounds great, lots of built in tuning options. However, when using Android Auto, it can sometimes freeze. I have to unplug the phone and plug it back in. Also, the Bluetooth phone quality could be better. Lastly, the integration with the ODB2 is nice but not easy to navigate. ... show more
