    • Not worth the price — weak processor ruins the whole machine

I bought this laptop thinking I was getting a good deal because of the 32GB of RAM and 1TB SSD, but it’s totally misleading. What they don’t tell you clearly is that it comes with a Celeron N5100 processor, which is a very low-end CPU — slower than what you’d find in some Chromebooks. The RAM and storage sound great on paper, but the processor is so weak it bottlenecks everything. Even opening a few browser tabs or doing simple multitasking causes lag. It’s frustrating to use, especially considering I paid around $500. That kind of money should get you something much faster. This might be okay for super light tasks (email, Word, etc.), but it’s definitely not “powerful” as advertised. There’s no upgrade path either — the CPU is soldered to the board, so you’re stuck with the performance. Honestly, if you’re looking for a machine that’s going to last or keep up with daily use, this is not the one. Spend your money on something with at least a modern i3 or i5. Don’t fall for the high RAM spec — it’s lipstick on a pig. ... show more

I see this as as frequently returned item, and really don't know why. I've purchased 3 over the last year and all have served flawlessly. The only thing I don't care for is that I wish the keyboard was backlit. But to get that anymore you'll have to pay a lot more or make compromises.

It's your basic black laptop with a lot of memory and storage but so-so performance. I have two video events open and got a resource issue message to shut down some services. Since day 1 the performance has been sluggish and sub par to my 3 year old Dell laptop with 1/4 of the memory and storage.

I like the Lenovo brand more every time. Zero bloatware! I'd recommend getting a USB hub since it only has two standard USB ports. Nice power efficient laptop great for web browsing or word processing. Not for high-end gaming or CAD work. Perfect for travel or office work. I would buy again.

I bought this laptop during prime deal days. The product was shipped and delivered as expected, and I was super excited to begin using this laptop for homeschooling purposes. I ordered the 32GB Ram with 1Tb SSD with 500GB external hard drive. I did not receive the external hard drive that was promised in the listing. Instead, there was a card with a QR code on it for a link that implied that you should have added the external drive to your Amazon order in order to receive it with your order. I filled out the information that they asked for, but I still have not received a response from the seller. When I opened up the laptop I was shocked at how flimsy it felt. Never the less, I continued with the set up process. After setting up the laptop, I went to the Lenovo website to register the it. This is where things began to get strange. The laptop's warranty had already started on 7/25/24. How was that possible? I then looked up the specs via the serial number on the Lenovo website. It stated that the laptop should have had 4GB Ram and 128GB SSD. I then checked how much storage was actually on the laptop. There was 32GB Ram and 1TB SSD installed. That would imply that the seller opened up the laptop and installed new Ram and SSD. This has in turn voided out the warranty. I researched this model and it was only meant to support a max of 16GB of Ram. And while having higher Ram installed would seem to be a good thing it could eventually lead to the system crashing in a short amount of time. This is clearly a misrepresentation of the product. I do not trust this seller. How do I know what kind of ssd and Ram they put in this laptop. I requested a refund, but I will have to pay for the return shipping, and I will be charged a restocking fee. I contacted Amazon to dispute the situation before I send the laptop back to the seller to ask them if they will refund the amount that the seller will charge for a restocking fee. They said that I have to wait to see what the seller does after I complete the return process. I will be sending it back tomorrow. Do not buy this laptop. The company is buying cheap computers, changing out the components, and selling them as original from the manufacturer at a higher price than it is worth. ... show more
