  • Powerful
Style: i9-13900HX/RTX 4090
This thing is an absolute powerhouse. The only thing its lacking is storage space. For that it's easier and cheaper to just buy an external ssd and use that. Other than the storage it was definitely worth the buy because I can play most games in high or ultra quality with 60+ fps.

  • crashes constantly! adobe product will not run well. lenovo legion 7 even with the i9 & nvidia 4090
Style: i9-13900HX/RTX 4090
important b4 you buy any Lenovo!!! Does not run Adobe product verry well at all even after fine tuning the pc for better performance with tech support! Very disappointed will be selling soon & looking for new mbook-pro. Dont waist your money, get a better laptop! Seriously, do yourself a solid by getting something other that what used to be a good machine, Lenovo has fallen down in quality with their products! This Lenovo Legion has been such a disappointment for creative work. Adobe apps run poorly and inconsistently even after performance tuning and working with tech support. For the price, I expected smooth reliable editing, but this machine hasn’t delivered. Lenovo’s quality feels like it’s majorly declined this laptop comes across like corners were cut. You’re not getting the same product today that you would’ve gotten 10 years ago. I’ll be selling it soon and switching to a MacBook Pro. ... show more

  • Strong gaming laptop
Style: i9-13900HX/RTX 4090
I have a 4k pc build with liquid cooling and 4080 Ventus with also 64gb ram but I wanted something good to handle gaming with over 100fps and this thing did not disappoint. I’ve had it about 6 months now and the only complaint is for sure on performance mode it gets hot but the performance boost with any game maxed out settings is well over 100fps . Well worth the price for a solid future proof gaming laptop. ... show more

So far so good, i had ordered this in frustration with the Alienware X16. This thing is a beast of a laptop.

  • Good balance between full-power CPU/GPU, cooling performance, and size. Highly Recommended!
Style: i9-13900HX/RTX 4090
This review is for the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 8 (Model: 16IRX8H), which has an i9-13900HX, 32GB of DDR5-5600 RAM configured as 2x 16GB, a 1TB NVMe SSD with one free NVMe slot, and an nVidia RTX 4090 Mobile GPU with 16GB of VRAM. It runs Windows 11 Home and has a 16" IPS QHD Display (16:10 aspect ratio, 2560x1600 resolution), a 240Hz refresh rate, and beautiful HDR support with up to 500 nits brightness. It has a slim 330W GAN-based charger that uses Lenovo's slim tip. As gaming laptops go, the Lenovo Pro 7 is a good compromise between a full-powered desktop replacement and thinner, more portable but thermally limited machines. It can offer the full 150W to the GPU plus 25W Dynamic Boost for a maximum of 175W TDP. The CPU has a rated TDP of 55W, but depending on the profile, it can run at 120W or more. It weighs less than 6 pounds and is about the same size as the slimmed-down Alienware M16 R2, for example, but the Alienware is limited to an RTX 4070, and the standard 280W (non-GAN) power adapter is 30% larger. It's about the same size as the well-regarded ASUS ROG Strix Scar, which also offers full performance in a relatively portable form factor. There are slimmer options, such as the Razer Blade 16, which is half a pound lighter and is also equipped with the RTX 4090 that also has access to the full 175W TDP, but it thermally throttles earlier, and performance between an RTX 4080 in a larger chassis isn't as big as you might expect. It's worth mentioning that the performance of the RTX 4090 mobile at 175W is equivalent to a desktop RTX 4070 Super. I bought this machine in April 2024 and am happy with it overall. There are a few noteworthy quirks, however: 1) While it's advertised as supporting 140W USB-C charging, it needs Lenovo's proprietary 20V @ 7A. It's NOT compatible with the USB PD 3.1's EPR standard, which achieves 140W charging using 28V @ 5A. Instead, you are limited to 100W with standard chargers. 2) Lenovo Vantage offers undervolting and overclocking support, but you need to enable the option in the UEFI. When you do a BIOS update, your settings might be silently reverted, which is annoying. I'm currently using a -50mV offset without changing base clocks, which doesn't lower overall temperature because turbo boost will take advantage of available thermal headroom, which results in more performance for the same energy use. 3) You may have heard of the controversy of Intel 13th and 14th gen Raptor Lake desktop chips having stability issues over time. While Intel has mentioned that the mobile chips are unaffected, the problematic Raptor Lake desktop chips and the HX mobile chips are based on the same silicon. Intel said affected desktop parts include 65W TDP models, whereas the mobile parts have a 55W TDP, but in my opinion, this isn't so significant because the mobile processors can have PL1 set to 65W or more. While gaming, for example, the average package power of my CPU often exceeds 100 Watts. The recently released BIOS fix for the desktop processors also applies to the HX mobile chips. ... show more

  • Fast and cool with good software
Style: i9-13900HX/RTX 4090
This laptop runs 5% fastery and shockingly slightly cooler temps than my desktop machine with a liquid cooled 13900k and EVGA 3090 FTW3. It runs noticeably cooler than my old 1070 laptop from Gigabyte and at quieter temps. And best of all, the monitor it comes with also noticably outperforms my old 1440p 144hz Dell monitor in color and refresh rate. I think it's rare to see what a refresh rate this high looks like in person, unless you have a friend who also has expensive taste. Personally, I didn't see this refresh rate until I bought the monitor. But yes, the difference between this and 144hz is noticeable :D I bought it back when it was like $3200 because it was the best value 4090 laptop on the market. With the price drops recently, this thing is definitely a good deal. Also, kudos to Lenovo for their built-in software. The UI feels very clean and it has some nifty features. One of the few pre installed softwares I've seen that doesn't feel like bloatware. Makes me feel like I'm in good hands with Lenovo's customer service. ... show more

Style: i9-13900HX/RTX 4090
Impeccable machine, tho I wish they kept last year's features too ..like fingerprint in power button and Windows hello. 🤦🏾♂️... However it makes up for it in power...far quieter than others especially on quiet mode....the temperatures are phenomenal and even the benchmarks on Youtube confirm the power for dollar... though I haven't benchmarked I've gotten better results in real life than most of their vids🤷🏾♂️. Though I have the 4080... I do wish I added 300 more for the 4090... N call it a wrap lol... ... show more
