I got this Siivton car seat protector to use under a new child car seat on the leather seat in our Ford Explorer, and it fits that use case well. It covers the area under the car seat so the leather isn’t taking the direct pressure and contact. The protector itself seems well made and high quality. The materials and construction give a durable impression, and it feels like something that will hold up to regular use. For what it is, the price feels like a good value. This protector is designed as a waterproof, padded cover with a non‑slip bottom and mesh pockets, which makes sense for use under a child car seat. In our setup, it’s doing what we needed it to do: add a protective layer between the leather seat and the car seat. Based on my experience using it to protect the leather seat in our Explorer with a new car seat, I’d buy it again and would recommend it to others looking for a similar seat protector.
