You get a six core/12 thread processor, 500 gb m.2 hard drive, 8 gb mem, and a thin/sleek well made laptop for a great price. Like most new computers, you have to get rid of bloatware, with this Lenovo, there was very little. The screen isn't going to blow anyone away, but at 17", the 1600 x 900 is decent. If I was using this as my main screen I would have preferred a 1920 x 1080 at 17" but it works for price and looks pretty good. If you plan on playing games on this laptop, I would suggest upgrading the RAM to 12GB at least ( there are conflicting specs online that say either 12 or 20gb is the max) 4gb is soldered to the mobo and there is a 4gb SODIMM module in the expansion space, its pretty easy to get to and an 8gb module is around $40 just make sure its 3200mhz (mt/s) SODIMM module (the CL may vary but the profile will default to the highest cl). The actual gaming performance will vary depending on game, NBA 2k22 runs great at 1600 x 900 high settings, Fortnite runs at 1600 x 900 on performance mode at around 100fps with lower setting and a longer draw distance, Black Ops 1,2 and 3 zombies all run at 1600 x 900 with decent settings at over 60 fps, emulation runs well but the CPU starts getting warm so I would suggest a cooling stand. The 512GB NVME SSD is a decent gen 3 speed solid state drive (see photo), I will not be putting a larger drive in because there is only one NVME slot. I have an external SSD that I use to store larger files and move them between my desktop and the laptop. The Wifi 6 and bluetooth 5 work very well, I have included a screenshot of the game download speed over wifi (my current router is only wifi 5 and still great speeds). If you can get this laptop for under $500 and upgrade the ram, it would be a very capable machine, if you have to pay over $550 I would suggest purchasing a used gaming laptop or a low end new gaming laptop with a discreet GPU for gaming. ... show more

Whether I need to connect to work or game, they laptop does what I need it to do. Very happy with this purchase.
