I sought this out for tile roof maintenance. In the 18th year the cheapo tar stuck on, edge tiles began to slide down the roof. Only at the wall edges under eves where they were held on by roofing tar. The tar dried and the sliding started. Since that discovery I have been up on the roof every couple of years looking things over. In the course of doing this I had in the past just climbed up and run about the roof with little concern for falling. But as I have aged I have become more intelligent and have concluded the risk may be low but the fall would be deadly even if I was in my full of youthful vigor. I can't fly. This rope makes a pair and is the golden west rope as opposed to the green east rope. Long enough to reach the ground tie on the west from the east edge of the roof. So now I have a solid climbing rope on each side and can't fall off, slide off, or tumble off on the west side or the east. This still leaves the peaked south and north sides. For now I do not need to get near those sides except around chimney where I can grab hold.

This is some quality rope. I’ve been climbing trees for over 20 years. I trust my ropes with my life. This is a decent quality rope that performs well. I have used it several times and repelled down without issues. I started on shorter drops just to get a feel. Very little stretch and rather abrasions resistant. I love the bright orange color as it stands out to my crew at ground level. Nothing worse then having your rope go through a chipper wile your dangling from a tree haha. For the price it’s definitely worth it. Not sure how long it will last but if I have any issues in the future I’ll add it to the review. As for now it’s a quality safety rope. Easy to grip and works great. No complaints.

I am by no means a rock climber, mountain climber by any means; mature at best, and do more indoor rock climbing. This is a good quality rope. When ever I see a climbing rope i always think of boon dock saints! This is great quality for the price and very sturdy. I ended out using this for a tire swing in my back yard. This rope was perfect for it!

The rope looks nice and feels pretty good quality, but I wouldn't recommend using it for climbing as they advertise. Using something for a critical life-supporting application like climbing or arborist safety lines means not only does a single sample need to be high quality, you need to be able to trust that EVERY product is high quality. I don't think it's possible to get that guarantee out of an alphabet-letter no-name brand compared to a trusted manufacturer. It's a 5 star rope for non-life-critical applications, but since it's advertised for climbing I don't think I can give it more than 3 stars because you'd be taking on a serious risk to yourself or others to trust something without a quality manufacturer, known batch and manufacturing dates, and a solid supply chain; soft goods like this WILL expire and can break down if improperly stored, and you just can't know for sure here.

Well packaged, and the build quality of the rope seems very good. Ends come with what looks like a hot knife seal. Bright and good looking high visibility. I got it for general purpose use, to practice whipping, heat sealing, and other end finishing, as well as practicing knot tying. As a sometime rock climber, and long time sailor, I like to practice tying knots with eyes closed, hands behind back, one-handed, etc. for fun and familiarity. I also plan to learn some fancy rope tricks like you see where people throw/flip the rope onto a dock cleat and other things. Don't plan to use this for climbing or other life-critical applications, as although the rope looks and feels very good, there are no ratings or traceability.

My husband said to me, "OH, that's a good rope!" That says it all as he is conservative with his praises! The double braiding makes it strong and it's well packaged in a case that can hang handily in his shop - ready to tackle all of his "projects." There are a multitude of uses for this quality of rope so just one rope will not be enough! He has been felling trees lately, so it will be put to good use right away! It IS the "PERFECT" rope!

The rope is pretty good, its good thickness and seems to be pretty durable. The length is great, 200 feet is more than enough rope for almost anything. I used the rope on my canopy to tie it down. It reached all the way around the whole canopy and so far has help up pretty good during any wind and rainstorms. It could probably be cut if a smaller length is needed. The yellow and red coloring is good also, its pretty visible during the day so no one can trip over it.
