  • WFH Upgrade: Durable, Aesthetic & Smooth Typing WFH Upgrade: Durable, Aesthetic & Smooth Typing
Style: K500 Keyboard
This keyboard completely upgraded my work from home call center setup and made long shifts feel way more comfortable. The build is heavy duty and sturdy, so it doesn’t slide around during busy back-to-back calls. I love the programmable RGB lighting it adds a calming vibe to my desk and keeps my setup looking clean and aesthetic. The keys have such a satisfying, quality feel that makes typing notes and navigating systems all day effortless. If you need a reliable keyboard that can handle real work hours while still looking good, this one is definitely worth it. ... show more

  • Excellent Keyboard So Far
Style: K500 Keyboard
This keyboard has been a joy to use so far. It's pretty heavy and feels really solid. The USB cable is braided and appears to be high quality. Not being a gamer, I didn't realize how much difference there was between the various switch types (brown versus red versus blue, and so on). As it states in the description, this keyboard uses the red switches, which don't click at all. That just seems a little... weird for a mechanical keyboard, but you get used to it pretty quickly. The RGB lighting looks good. Unfortunately, Lenovo didn't put in any keyboard shortcuts to change the mode - you have to use their software for this. Not a huge deal at all, especially when using it with a work computer, but it would have been nice. The factory default color is white throughout the keyboard, with (to my eyes) just a hint of blue. It's subdued and pleasant. A key cap puller would have been a nice addition. This is vastly better than a keyboard with membrane switches. I highly recommend it! ... show more

  • Very responsive without the clickety clack of other mechanical keyboards.
Style: K500 Keyboard
Bought this keyboard remanufactured. Have had zero problems. I like the way the keys feel and respond. It doesn't clack like other mechanical keyboards, so it is nice and quiet. The software it comes with makes it easy to customize your colors, make macros and disable certain keys or key combos. It is a full size keyboard but is still smaller than my last keyboard by a long ways. All in all I would recommend this keyboard. ... show more

  • Good value for money, smooth, low resistance keypress.
Style: K500 Keyboard
Durable, sleek, wrist rest included for carpal tunnel avoidance, easy to customize and sync with razer chroma through 3rd party rgb syncing programs. Keys feel smooth, cost is good for the product, like, 50-100$ cheaper than other brands Durability is great so far, will update my reveiw if i encounter any problems unseen in other mechanical keyboard brands. ... show more

  • Pretty great keyboard, but for gamers? Really?
Style: K500 Keyboard
I almost could not believe I found a corded keyboard that is full size and has mechanical keys that I actually like. The Microsoft curve that I loved for over 20 years is no longer made and I'm having to get used to something else, but I don't want a keyboard that they forgot to put the case on and everything I've tried up to this point is just a tiny bit smaller than full size. (Just enough to squish the keys closer together so you can't help but fat finger everything.) This keyboard being full sized is soooo much better. I like the backlighting and the ease of changing the color of the backlighting. I also like the feel of the keys and the fact that you can actually feel the key press. It is a lot noisier than most other keyboards I've used, but I think that is because it is mechanical rather than membrane. The only thing I can criticize about this keyboard is that it can't take even the slightest bit of abuse. I can be rather heavy fingered sometimes and apparently the feet stands are very week. Not only that, but Lenovo doesn't sell replacements. Also when the keyboard takes a fist all the keys go flying. When I used to game and really abuse my keyboards the Microsoft keyboard could take a serious pounding. I got so mad at one that I decided to break it and get a new one. Didn't break! Still kept working. This keyboard...I'm afraid if I really pounded on this one it would break in half. For sure every key would fly off. ... show more

  • Feels heavy but way too sensitive.
Style: K500 Keyboard
I like the extreme weight of this keyboard, the led lighting is decent, the Lenovo software for windows is also very nice and minimal but the sensitivity of the keys is way too sensitive. I can easily type 90 wpm but this keyboard keeps causing me errors due to just the touching of a key causes typos frequently. If you even slightly rest a finger on a key or graze a key while pressing another it types that key way to easily. Reminds me a of a hair trigger situation. I would rather have a keyboard that doesn't type until a key clicks when fully depressed. Hopefully after some use this keyboard will respond a little later on the press of a key. Overall this keyboard is still better than any razor keyboard that costs up to $200 or more. ... show more

  • The Goldie Locks Keyboard The Goldie Locks Keyboard
Style: K500 Keyboard
I had a basic Dell usb multimedia keyboard with two usb passthru ports, but I didn't like the typing experience on the low profile keys. What I did want was a full size keyboard with larger (perhaps mechanical) keys, a usb connected, backlit, with a usb passthru port(s) to connect the receiver for my mouse. I didn't want a bluetooth keyboard because I run two computers through my monitor's built in KVM switch and the connection would be undependable or delayed. As a casual gamer, I was also interested in what features might be helpful there. While shopping, I quickly realized that the keyboards that met my criteria were mostly all $100-$250 gaming keyboards and I wasn't going to spend that. Besides, most of them were on the bleeding edge with buggy features or required talking to the cloud to use, ugh. None of them seemed like a good value to me, even Logitech of which I am a general fan. By chance, I ran across this Lenovo Legion K500. I must tell you that I am a former IBM product designer and have a soft spot for the ex-IBM brand. And we will never forget those perfect IBM keyboards of old. So the potential and aesthetics of this product immediately caught my eye - clean, high tech, understated elegance with superior ergonomics. It was usb connected and offered backlighting (even in custom colors). It also included multimedia keys. But no usb port - oh well. Last but not least, it was a full sized keyboard with mechanical keys that would deliver the superior typing experience. All at about $65. So I gave up a usb passthru port to save $100+. I have to tell you, it has fully met and exceeded expectations., even the software makes sense and works great. Although it's all plastic, it's a quality build that looks and feels much more expensive. It's a beautiful addition to my desktop. I've fallen in love with it. It's a tremendous value. Pros and Cons Pro - Tasteful, understated design Very ergonomic Good typing feel & quiet Plastic, but heavy, very solid build Lots of grip on the desk Works style wise in a business environment Software is very easy and good for what it does Software works on both Windows 7/10 Remembers customization settings locally Backlit keys with 2 levels of brightness and off Works great in a dark environment Dedicated multimedia keys Game mode can disable certain keys Flat or tilt Comes with an easy on/easy off palmrest Nice quality braided cable Numlock/Capslock indicators Con - No USB or headset passthru Only one color at a time/one color per profile Custom macros are a little clumsy Very slightly lite on the key pressure, but okay Multimedia keys don't light up Doesn't light up numbers on top, just symbols Poor instructions in the box No mention of software or where to get it (Google - Legion Accessory Central) Color gimmicks are a useless distraction ... show more
