  • Very well made
Style: Laptop
A very good laptop for school

  • Surprisingly excellent machine
Style: Laptop
We were a bit skeptical given the low price, but this machine is shockingly good value. The screen is bright and clear. Build quality is excellent. The keyboard, while small, is definitely usable. Chrome OS has come a long way, and now that Linux is available (via Crostini), as well as Android apps, oceans of programs will run on the machine. The one downside is that the ARM processor is not super fast. But it runs cool without a fan, and is plenty fast for normal work. Typical games run fine. I've installed various Android 3d games that run without a hitch. 9/10 and totally recommended. ... show more

  • Great value proposition that do with a bit of polishing up
Style: Laptop
The device is a great value proposition especially when paired with a compatible USI stylus, however it has a few flaws. For me the major flaw is responsiveness. It gets to a point where the touch capabilities of the screen seem to go to sleep if no touch input is detected for a while (like when watching a video on YouTube, or browsing the web). To be fair this doesn't happen all the time, but when it does I find myself tapping away at the screen to get it to start registering touch input. The most annoying thing is the lack of consistency; sometimes the screen doesn't momentarily lose responsivenes after brig periods of on activity, but some times it does. Sometimes it only takes one tap to 'wak'e it up, other times it takes several taps and even a couple of strokes. The only positive is that this seems like a software issue more than a hard ware one, coz once the screen is 'awake', it responded great. I hope this can be fixed via some sort of software/firmware update. The keyboard is not as bad as some other reviews make it seem. Some of the keys on the right hand side are a bit cramped but after a while you get used to it, assuming of you have normal sized fingers or maybe smaller fingers. ... show more

  • Worthy of a buy
Style: Laptop
Overall this is a very good chromebook. I like the screen quality most of all. I like the keyboard feel, and it was easy to jump on it and write. It has a lot going for it. It has respectable speed, too. I'm not waiting for an application or the browser to load. Amazing battery life. Some of the things that I found to be cons, but not a big deal... There's no old-school USB port, so there's no place to plug in a memory stick, or to plug in my USB Jabra. In order to do that you need to adapt the included usb-c with a port extender. (Maybe I'll invest in a Bluetooth Jabra.) There's no slot for an SD card, however 128 GB is pretty roomy. Finally it's a bit heavier than I expected. A bit heavier than my previous chromebooks, but you might argue more solid. Overall, I really like this device and I'm so happy I picked one up. ... show more

  • Compact and Convenient, with Low Power Consumption and Long Battery Life
Style: Laptop
I needed something that gives me more functionality than a phone when traveling in my campervan, but doesn't consume as much power as a laptop, as I camp in the wild, and use solar power. Not all forums and websites display too well on a phone, so I wanted a device with a larger screen. This little Chromebook fits the bill really well. The keyboard, considering it's size, is easy to use. I can type more fluently than on a phone (though not as well as on a desktop keyboard, of course!) Also, the keyboard attaches and detaches easily. The ability to charge from USB just makes it even better - and is more convenient than the higher DC voltages that laptops require. Occasionally, I have to touch the screen twice, the second time more firmly, in order to get my intended input to register, but it's a small thing, and not a big problem. I'm happy! ... show more

  • The audio is feeble. If that's not important to you, it's a good little machine!
Style: Laptop
I was pretty impressed with this little machine. It would be perfect for a young person attending school online. Zoom works fine. The web is tine. The keyboard is surprisingly good. It's responsive. All in all, a whole lot of bang for the buck. The sole negative I've found is that the audio is extremely weak. I intended to use it in a somewhat noisy room for Zoom sessions, and in that environment the other call participants cannot hear me and I cannot hear them. I bought a USB-C dongle and an external speaker/mic -- and it didn't seem to make any difference. Perhaps I made a poor choice of speaker/mic -- and I'll try beefing that up with powered speakers and an external mic. But I'd avoid this bargain (which, otherwise, it is) if you have plans to use it in a situation where the ambient noise level is even a little high. ... show more

  • Crack in the corner of the screen. Now it doesn't work.
Style: Laptop
I had it for 5 to 6 months. It was in the Lenovo issued cover. It fell a very small distance and the corner of the screen cracked. I didn't think it was a big deal but the touch screen no longer works. It is still under warranty so I tried to contact them several times. I submitted several service requests that were quickly resolved but I was not contact about the resolution. I attempted to contact them several times but they did not call back. When I finally got someone on the phone I was told that only hardware is covered under the warranty. I can't wait to see how much they will charge me to replace the screen. I am guess as much as what I paid for the device. The device does not hold up and customer service is not good. ... show more

  • Great tablet for the price!
Style: Laptop
Very pleased with all of the features, including a bright screen, good resolution and vivid colors, and battery life that is great so far. Loved that it came with the keyboard. Keyboard has been easy to use. I bought a digital pen that works well with it for all of the things I have tried it with. It has exceeded my expectations for what I expected from the price. ... show more
