I have a weather station and the outdoor sensors are powered by solar panels. Even though the panels are designed for outdoor use I have had a couple leak in heavy storms. These boxes will put an end to that! They are very strong, seal tightly, and the clear top allows the panel to receive full sunlight. The plastic the sensor is made of deteriorates after years exposed to the elements and this box protects them and the batteries and circuitry inside. If the box eventually breaks down the solar panel will still be like new and I can move it to a new box. The boxes are made of thick, strong plastic that is very sturdy with a thick seal and sturdy latches. The box comes with mounting ears for easy attachment to the roof or wherever you decide to mount it. I am very happy I found these boxes with a clear top and strongly recommend them if you need a sturdy box.

I think this is a bit better than the visqueen and duct tape that I had over everything for splash proofing. It's over a utility sink in my garage so water sometimes gets splashed when washing stuff. Now everything is in a nice splash proof case. It holds a tp-link managed hub. Two PoE injectors. Plus a Lutron hub.
