The large dog house comes well packaged with simple, clear instructions as well as a phillips head screw driver and a pair of gloves. The parts are extremely flimsy and a few of mine were a bit curved, so it did take me a few minutes longer to line them up to put it together (which was about 45 minutes by myself.) Once everything is screwed down it feels much more stable. My only complaint is that it is absolutely NOT insulated as advertised. But if you're using this large house for a medium dog you could easily insulate it yourself and still leave your dog with plenty of space. All in all it is worth the $120ish I paid for it and I would buy it again. ... show more

This dog house was much roomier than I expected. We have a 130 lb Rottweiler whose old wood doghouse started falling apart. I was a little skeptical on buying this one but figured if it was not durable and big enough, it would be returned. I am very happy to say this dog house far exceeded our expectations. Initially the pieces looked a bit flimsy, but once I put it together and secured with the screws, it was pretty solid. It took me about 30 minutes and that's because I wanted to make sure I did not miss a step. It comes with a platform but we have it sitting on a hard plastic pallet for extra height. It does not wobble and we will see how it holds up over time. For the price and 6 simple steps putting together, I would say it was well worth the money. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We purchased two of largest size dog houses for our boys. There is plenty of room for them to get in and out and turn around inside. Our boys are larger dogs. One is about 106 lbs - heavyset and medium in height) and the other is 112 lbs- tall and slim. They love the houses. They were pretty easy to build. The instructions were on point and came with everything you need to build them. Basically you click the plastic panels together then screw them together. It took about 30 minutes per house. One did have a crack in the bottom right corner as well as a chip/ broken piece. Luckily it was by the screw in area so it didn’t cause an issue. It must have broken during shipping. Our 13year old lab has a condition that makes it difficult for him to get up and gain balance, so having a spacious house was important to us - it is easy for him to move in and out. We have placed a dog bed in it, and it works well. We have it on a covered deck, and it is warm. It looks as if it would not work well in rain and snow if not in a covered area. The house has a nice appearance. Assembly instructions are absolutely ridiculous, but we figured it out - worth it. I recommend this house for large dogs - much better than an igloo. ... show more

I love this dog house! I was a little scared at first cause some reviews said the panels were warped and so on. I am happy to say that ours came in beautiful condition. I gave it 3 stars for ease of assembly, because I had to get my dad to help me hold the pieces together and for some reason the roof was not wanting to snap together at first. The reason I only gave it 4 stars for weatherproof was because if you don't want the rain to blow in you have to buy plastic and make a door. I couldn't tell if the water inside was from rain blowing in the door or if it was leaking so I'll update my review after I get my door made and it rains again! It is very sturdy and overall is a good dog house if you don't want to spend a lot of money. ... show more

Update *** when it rains it goes inside a lot sooo it’s really only to protect from shade, would return but I already built it. So I’ll break up my review in different sections: -building the dog house was pretty easy following the manual step-by-step. Following the order it said to connect the panels and put in the screws. -the dog house itself it pretty flimsy and the side panels are pretty thin. It feels cheap. Its not bad, you get what you pay for. I’m sure I can find sturdier houses but obviously would cost much more. The good thing about it not weighing so much is that I can move it around when having to mow the lawn in that section and easily put it back. -size: I got the 42inch and I have an 85lb mixed breed dog, width wise is pretty good and spacious for my dog, height wise, my dog cannot sit inside he has to crouch to get inside and lay down. Pretty good for when my dog is outside with us. Let’s see if it lasts because the base is also pretty flimsy. ... show more

Easy to put together. Is very sturdy and it is large enough for my Bernese Moutain dog. Plus it looks great in my yard. In order get my dog to use it I started by leaving it set up in the yard for a few days then I started giving my dog treats while being next to it then threw a few treats inside and that was it. This dog house consists of 7 pieces of plastic held together by fewer than 24 screws of two different sizes. And,oh, there are stakes to help hold it to the ground. Given that it’s all plastic, how will it hold up to winter weather? Will it turn brittle and break at the connection points? Time will tell. It’s got a 3-star look, for now. If you have quite a good bit of experience assembling things, you will be fine. It comes with a screwdriver, but you might find a ratcheting screwdriver most helpful. The directions are in pictures only. One image pictures more screws than the heading says. You will need to be a very mechanical type of person to succeed in getting it all to go together. It is a good size without taking up too much room in my dog’s 10x10 kennel. And the kennel is covered, so I’m not worried about the house leaking. Otherwise I would caulk the 2 seams on the “ridge.” I liked the price, and if it lasts through the winter, I’ll like it even more! ... show more
