  • Great quality wireless instrument transmitter/receiver
Lekato calls this a wireless guitar system, but I use it for my synth keyboard. The 1/4" phone plug transmitter piece plugs into the instrument (whether it be guitar, synth, or anything else that has a 1/4" phone jack) and the 1/4" phone plug receiver piece plugs into the amplifier or PA speaker (in my case, an Electro Voice Everse 8 PA speaker). I did a test where I listened carefully to the sound coming out of the PA speaker using first a cord and then using this wireless transmitter/receiver pair. I really could not hear a difference. I also did not notice any lag in response to my playing. Lekato claims that the transmitter and receiver will run for 5 hours when fully charged, but that may be a little optimistic. To be safe, if you are going to use this setup on a gig you might want to plug the transmitter and receiver into the docking unit on breaks. Speaking of the docking station, it has a built in battery too which allows you to charge the transmitter/receiver pieces without having to plug the docking station into wall power. That's very convenient. You often hear stories about wireless systems dropping out or breaking up, and I experienced no problems whatsoever with this Lekato set. I've had no dropouts, no distortion, no issues at all. I think this is a great little system and an excellent value. ... show more

  • Easy setup with great performance
I looked at a lot of options for cheap wireless guitar transmitters and this was at the top of my list. It fits well on my Ibanez SDGR bass and looks sharp. A long press wakes up the transmitter and receiver. I have the receiver plugged into an inline tuner that then uses a cable to my pedals. Pedals are plugged in via cables. Connection is fairly stable, even if I’m around my WiFi router which is a tri band router. I do experience a slight drop out if I stand too close, but I remedy that by moving the tuner (has the receiver attached to it) at least 10 ft away from the router. Sound quality is virtually imperceptible from cables and it remains a very portable and easy to use design. Changing channels is done on the transmitter. The receiver automatically switches. When I’m done with a practice session, I simply long press to turn off each device. I think the quality is good, with a well designed base that recharges the transmitters. The base also has an output for a tablet or phone and uses USB-C plugs. Overall, I highly recommend this device. ... show more

  • Great bang for the buck!
Yo, so you’re wondering about this cool little item? It’s a super affordable way to play your guitar or bass or keyboard without being tied down by a cable. Here's the good stuff and the not-so-great stuff. What’s Awesome: No Annoying Interference: This thing runs on 5.8 GHz, which is like a clear highway for your guitar signal. Sounds Good, Feels Fast: The delay (called latency) is crazy low, like 5 milliseconds. You won’t even notice it—it’s like playing with a cable. The sound is clear. It’s got a wide range (10 Hz–22 kHz), so your notes come through crisp, whether you’re shredding or strumming. Super Easy to Use: Just plug the transmitter into your guitar and the receiver into your amp. They connect automatically, no messing around. The plugs rotate to fit weird guitar jacks, too. It’s small and light, so it won’t feel clunky when you’re rocking out. Battery Rocks for a While: You get 5–8 hours of playing time on one charge, which is enough for a long practice or a gig. It charges with a USB cable in about 1.5–2 hours. No need to buy batteries like with some other systems. Go Far: You can walk over 100 feet away from your amp (some say up to 300 feet outside) without losing signal. Walls might cut that down, but it’s plenty for most stages or your garage. What’s Kinda Weak: Feels a Bit Cheap: It’s made of plastic, so it’s not super tough. The on/off switch feels flimsy, and it doesn’t come with a case, so you gotta be careful not to break it. It uses an old-school micro-USB port for charging, not the newer USB-C like your phone probably has. Noisy with Heavy Distortion: Slightly Different Sound: Some people say the sound is a tiny bit less bright than a cable, like it’s missing a little sparkle. You probably won’t notice unless you’re super picky, but you might need to tweak your amp. Battery Could Be a Hassle Later: The battery can’t be swapped out. If it dies after a couple of years, you might need a whole new system. Also, some people say charging takes longer than advertised after a while. How It Stacks Up: Vs. Cheaper 2.4 GHz Systems (like Xvive U2): Those can get glitchy around Wi-Fi, but the Lekato’s 5.8 GHz is way more reliable. Vs. Fancy Systems (like Line 6 or Boss): Those cost $200+ and are sturdier with better features, but the Lekato is almost as good for way less money. Vs. Other Cheap Systems: It’s similar to brands like Getaria, but people love how easy it is to use and how steady the signal is. Who Should Get It: Perfect For: If you’re on a budget, play at home, in a garage, or at small gigs, this is awesome. It’s great for bass or clean guitar vibes since it’s quiet and reliable. If you just wanna move around without a cable, it’s a steal. Not Great For: If you play heavy metal with tons of distortion, the hiss might annoy you. Also, if you’re touring like a pro, you might want something tougher. Final Thoughts: The Lekato 5.8 GHz system is a dope way to go wireless without spending a ton. It’s easy, sounds great for most players, and lets you roam free on stage or in your room. The plastic build and occasional noise with heavy distortion are downsides, but for the price, it’s hard to beat. ... show more

  • So far it is an excellent device.
Transmitter sticks out far so be careful. Easy to set up, sound is great, great range, total freedom instead of stepping on cord and pulling plug out of guitar.

  • Why are these so underpriced?
Owned the Line6 stuff for over a decade. Mind blown that these work so well and are so affordable. The power bank is incredible. I've never had a battery low problem and I use them all day teaching guitar.

  • Warning: catches the hiccups around any 5g device
Bought two in a row, returned the first one just to be sure. Even your 5G router in your apartment apparently can interfere. I wasn’t aware of it with the first unit at the time. I figured I kept hitting the transmitter on my couch or knee and turning it off. The second unit arrives I had a gig this Friday night. Same thing started happening. Because my sound guy soundboard, you guessed it runs off 5G to all of our wireless and our mixer auxiliary units on our iPads for our indoor mixes. Super bombed really really love this design. Wish they would make the same design but with the original couple that I used for five years that just failed on me two weeks ago. I think they sell around 50 bucks and I bought them for 40 bucks at the time. Those work great. Anyways I’m trying but man these things are really sensitive. FYI so be forewarned. ... show more
