Description

The 9-in Dual-Purpose In-Wall Enclosure is engineered to provide storage of structured wiring and AV components. The ENP0905NAV1 is constructed of Wi-Fi transparent material to manage wireless components and AV devices at point-of- use locations, like directly behind a TV or other media centers. It can also be used for structured wiring purposes, as smaller-sized options in the existing line of On-Q enhanced structured wiring enclosures. The ENP0905NAV1 is compatible with devices like Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, network switches, 3rd party structured wiring components and more. I'll start by saying that I have not installed the box yet but I am happy with the quality that I see out of the box. I am writing this review to address the main concern that I had after reading existing reviews regarding its ability to support a standard metal outlet box to provide power to your devices. Many reviewers complained that the holes of the Legrand Media Box did not line up with the electrical boxes whether purchased at a home improvement store or even when buying it with Legrand's own outlet box accessory. I will confirm that the holes in this media box are not quite standard and did not line up with any of the metal boxes sold at Home Depot. However, there is actually a very easy fix for this. As you can see from my photos, the brackets on the metal box from Home Depot are screwed onto the box. This allowed me to put some washers underneath it to extend the length of the brackets and get them to line up exactly. It took a stack of 3 washers on one side and 2 washers on the other to get them to line up. I also had to add buy some 8-32x3/8" round machine screws from Home Depot to replace the short ones that were originally holding the brackets in place. As you can see from the pictures, an 8-32x1/4" screw would probably stick into the box less and be the better choice. Anyway, I wanted to let people know that they need not worry about putting their own metal electrical box in place as long as you buy one with removable brackets like I did from Home Depot. ... show more

This worked perfectly... slightly tight, but perfect for our Samsung Frame TV install. It fit the AV box and excess cables. We used the template that came with it to cut a hold in our wall behind the TV mount location. The TV mount did have to block the box, due to the size of the TV vs. mount location options, so the mount will need to be removed if we ever need to access the box contents beyond. Great! Just what I needed. Instructions could be better about assembling the inner rack with the push pins. You have to put the back side of the pins in before you install the box. I ended up using small screws. I wasn’t doing it twice. 9” box is perfect for the Samsung one-connect box and cable management on a 32” frame tv. ... show more

    • Great way to tame bundles of home theater wiring
Perfect in-wall system for containing wires. I bought the matching duplex outlet that attaches to the inside, works perfectly. I have 2 HDMI, 6 speaker, and 2 Ethernet cables, along with a gigabit switch, all contained within the box. Looks much better than having the wires lying on the floor.

These boxes are awesome. I used it to fit a fiber ONT, UniFi 8 port POE lite switch, and UniFi cloud gateway max. The knockouts for outlet boxes fit standard METAL 2x3 inch switch boxes of your choice of depth. Use #6 sheet metal screws to secure. The plastic zip boxes do not work. Also, it is equipped with knockouts that fit 1.5” or 1” conduit. ... show more

    • Decent box for in-wall cable management
I actually got one of these to shove an Odroid H3 into the wall with its power supply, usb cables, monitor cables, sound bar cables etc. It gets a little cramped with everything i have shoved in there but seems to do the job. It took me a little effort to find an outlet that fin in this box (locally). I also had to shave down one side of the outlet cover because the outside frame of the box would not sit properly until I did Overall does what it's supposed to.
