The mini builds were too simple and overall not very Christmasy. Usually the Lego Advent is pretty good. My son was disappointed. We may have to go with a Pokemon or Lindt Advent next year.

I get one of these calendars every year. Even though my son is sixteen, now he's still loves it! I think it will be. A gift he gets for a lifetime unfortunately. But you just can't go wrong with lego!
