I’ve built a lot of LEGO sets, and this one stands out for its design more than its difficulty. The build is smooth and well structured, with a few smart techniques throughout. All the little Easter eggs within the design are awesome, the actual working lighthouse is an impressive design, and the way it’s displayed looks really nice. Amazing and worthy every cent. I purchased it as soon as I realized it had been retired. Not out of FOMO but because this had been on my wishlist since it was announced and I genuinely still wanted it after so long. I built it over a few days and had fun being joined by family members who pitched in, some who generally didn’t care much about Lego but were enthused about this build. Pro’s: Beautiful design and proportions. Engaging build for older teens and adults. With some excellent details. The motorized led light and the illumination in the house add another dimension. Con’s: Directions are not fully interactive in the app. There are several unclear or ambiguous instructions that can easily lead to errors.
