This train is incredibly well designed and once all the pieces come together, it's hard to believe we built it ourselves. I made this with my five year old and he is obsessed with it. Just a joy to have given him. We bought extra tracks though... The tracks that come with don't do the train justice.

The media could not be loaded. Mi hijo lo pidió para su cumpleaños numero 10, el es un apasionado por los legos y hasta ahora nunca había tenido un tren a control remoto de lego. No demoro muchas horas en armarlo porque no es complejo para armar, según lo que me dijo. Le pedí adicionalmente aquí en amazon un paquete de rieles de tren para que pudiera extender aun más el tamaño de los carriles del tren. Para la cena de navidad mi hijo tuvo la grandiosa idea de entregar en la mesa los postres por medio del tren, coloco los postres sobre el techo de uno de los vagones y nos iba a entregando uno a uno nuestros postres navideños! Though only coming with half a train as per the norm for most of LEGO's passenger trains have for quite some time now, this set is quite large with room to play on the track you get with it. The brick-built nose is a refreshing departure from the one-piece molded parts of years past, and overall the set has incredible potential for modding be it standalone or doubled to form a two-ended train. ... show more

Product matched description. Fun to change the speed, and the lights change brightness as well. Comes with a small amount of track which is why I gave it 4 stars. Buy extra track for more play creativity.

Thus us a wonderful Lego and while the package says Age 7 and up- I think you should feel quite confident buying this for an older child. Grandson age 11 just loved the challenge and fun of assembling all the parts. This is amazing and wonderful. We want to get into more train Legos. My 6 year old lego built this lego in 2 days and loves to make it run. Always a hit when friends come over. Not very much track, so that may be something to consider as an add-on. It's pretty quiet when it runs and apparently well-made. Happy with the purchase!

Basically this shares the top stop with my son's favorite Lego/toy. The first was #60197 which he got a few years ago and this new version is basically a more refined, sleeker version of that earlier train (with LED lights too). Highly recommended for any young kids who enjoys trains and Lego.
