Installation was very easy. Read through the section first then do. The longer clamp bolts go on the tailgate end. Other than that everything else is covered. Everything sealed up well. Don't expect this to be waterproof but instead water resistant. Some water will get in but that's to be expected It is a truck bed not an enclosed cab. Anything that's really sensitive to water either place in a bucket or wrap in a plastic bag. I have no reservations placing luggage in the covered bed as long as it's not on the outer ribs or near the tailgate. And also looks like they improved the seal against the tailgate so that it does not pull out.

This is my first time writing a review on Amazon and its only because I feel that I have to inform buyers. This is not to sway one way or the other, but just to give you my overall experience. I purchases this bed cover in March 2024. Very good looking bed cover, however, as some buyers state the cover still allow smell water to get into the bed of the truck. At the time it was not a major deal breaker. However, over the next few months I noticed the cover began to stiffen up and it would not retract as smooth as it did when I first purchased. By April 2025, a couple of the panels on the cover snapped making it useless. I reached out to Leer warranty department and they sent me a new fabric panel to replace the portion that failed. Cool. However, its is April 2026 and the panels have once agained snapped making the replacement useless. I reached back out to Leer warranty department and they are saying the cover is now out of the 2 year warranty. I only got a year of the product actually working each time. With the amount of money that was spent I would have hoped the product held up longer. I have purchased hundreds of items on Amazon and this by far is the worst one when its comes to the price and durability. Again, this is my experience with this product that I wanted to share.

Bought this strictly on price point and it delivers as expected. It is a terrific product for this price. It is not water tight to my truck bed, primarily at the tailgate but at half the price of some roll up covers I cannot complain. It holds up going through car wash only letting in a small amount of water. It is secure from opportunity thefts as it can only be opened by dropping tail gate and releasing duel latch. If you don’t have a locking tailgate then I guess that doesn’t apply. Cover is secure against knife entry as opposed to most roll up or folding covers. Cover does need to be closed from pull strap at center of cover otherwise it tends to close unevenly and bind the sealing gasket. Took me a couple of times trying to walk it closed from side of truck to figure out it is better to use the strap. At roughly twice the price of a folding or roll up cover I say it is worth the extra money for at least twice the security, and it takes up less bed room. If you are looking for complete weatherproofing to the bed then you will need to spend twice as much. All in all this cover is the perfect balance of quality and security to money spent. Keep your expectations realistic and you will not be disappointed with this roll up bed cover.

These instructions are rediculous. It assumes you have installed these things before and know how everything fits. There is no video showing installation anywhere on the internet. I spent 2 hours on the first step. Finally got it together properly (I hope). Took it thru a carwash and the back third of the bed was wet. And all the seals line up on the rear also. Oh well, too late. After three days the stick on decals peeled off.

I have had it four around a month now. Super happy with the quality and function. Took about 30 min to install. Opens and closes with ease. Previously had a Pace Edwards cover for my 2014 GMC and it was nothing but trouble.

To start I was basing this off of the one my brother-in-law had on his truck and I should have looked more into it. His has 4 places where the water could run to and drain where this one only had the 2 up in the front. That being said when I was parked on a slight incline and it rained the water just ran into the bed of the truck and didn't drain. His had a stop/lock every 12 inches where this one is either fully open or fully closed. All that being said this worked exactly as it was made to work, just not how I assumed it was going to work. So if you get this knowing exactly what you are getting then you will get exactly what you want.
