  • My daughter loves it!
I actually didn’t know whether my 6-year-old daughter would enjoy this since she’s more into drawing, reading, and singing. Since she loves legos tho, I thought this STEM set would be the next step up. So I was thrilled when she was super excited to open this up. She immediately asked me to help her with the first robot, and I had to enlist my husband to help her. ;) So far, they’ve built 3 robots together; and she truly loves it, even exclaiming how she loves science. Every time after she finishes one robot, she runs over and implores me to check out what they’ve built. It gives me delight to see her experience such curiosity and joy in seeing these come to life. Agree with the product description that these would be suited for 8-12 year olds, as she is unable to create each robot on her own, but she is having tons of fun and learning in the process. The instructions are clear and you can view a video for a detailed walkthrough. I also love how each robot comes with a blurb on the science behind it. Just wish the font size was a lot bigger for my older eyes; at least my daughter can read it tho! Highly recommend this set of 6 STEM robots! ... show more

  • GREAT SET!
The media could not be loaded. Got this for my 7yo who is constantly building and taking things apart. He loves this set. The first one he put together in 45 minutes 95% by himself. The only problem he had was that the screws are so Tiny that it was hard to keep them in place to screw them in. It does help that the small included screwdriver is magnetized. But I believe the screws could be just a bit bigger. Otherwise, the directions are good and all the tools and batteries needed were also included. Each kit is in its own bag and has everything you need, very nice bonus. Everything so far has been quality materials and the finished products actually work! And they can really move fast too. He really looked forward to these, we put a limit of 1 project for Saturday, 1 for Sunday, and got 3 weekends of activities out of this set and he wants more, so I would say this is a great value, fun, educational set. My 7yo is not the average 7 yo, so I would say the age range of 8+ is probably pretty accurate unless you want a project to work on together, then prob still at least 6+. He still likes to play with the finished products, I really like this and do highly recommend it, I hope this info has been helpful . ... show more

  • Great educational kits!
I got these kits for my 7 year old to do with her dad, learning about STEM while having fun building things. The projects do require some adult supervision/help but she managed to do most of the work herself. There are 6 different projects and each of them are pretty unique and fun. We work with our daughter to discover WHAT she is doing and WHY the projects do the things they do. Her favorite so far is the drawing robot, simple but one of the more interactive projects. These kits come with the instructions, materials, screwdrivers, and batteries so you can complete them all without needing any other materials. My husband did go a little above and beyond the instructions for some, like soldering things together properly so they stay together/functioning a little better. Overall these are great educational kits for young children to do and learn. ... show more

  • Good projects! Manual dexterity recommended.
The media could not be loaded. My thoughts on "Leefact 6 Set STEM Projects for Kids Ages 8-12:" I ordered the set because I liked the number of projects given the price. Six different creative projects look fun. They are simple, but the outcome is rewarding. The projects are more for older kids in the suggested age range because you need enough dexterity in your hands to manipulate small items. Although there are shortcuts in the instructions, in general they are fine and include extra information related to a given project. Besides the written guidelines, each project has a video that you can access by scanning a QR code if you need extra help. The video I watched was short and showed how to build the entire project. The quality of the elements is generally good. However, there are elements whose quality could be better, e.g., some of the battery holders; you have to be careful not to break them when replacing batteries. The set comes with batteries; however, they are one month past their expiration date. SUMMARY In summary, so long as it is priced right, this is a good set of creative projects for those who can manipulate small objects; a certain degree of manual dexterity is recommended. Thanks! ... show more

  • Great STEM toys for kids
The STEM kits came in its own colorful box. The box is colorful and nice enough to be a gift box. Inside the box there are 6 different types of robots to build. I bought a similar STEM toy before, and it worked so well I decided to buy this one. While these robots are small (They are about 3-6 inches long and no bigger than a grown-up's hand), these robots are a fun way to introduce concepts such as solar panel, battery, motor, remote control, etc. to kids. Furthermore, these toys encouraged kids to go above and beyond building 6 pre-designed robots. The motors, wires, solar panels, switches, etc can all be reassembled into many devices not specified in this toy set. The only limitation is the kids' imagination. ... show more

  • 6 Sets
Six sets of Stem projects, they include: a vibrating Robot, a reptilian robot, a radar, a dog walking robot, a tablet car, and a graffiti robot kit. I like to buy anything that is a Stem Project as it stimulates the mind of the child, works on hand eye , has scientific principles. In my pack the batteries were included. This is a very good set. See the pictures. ... show more
