Description

Natural minor Harps have a very bluesy, soulful sound that's perfect for playing minor blues, rock, country, reggae, pop & Jazz. This fabulous tuning is set up to play minor music easily, without straining the lips, The lungs or the mind! All of the notes and chords that were missing on the major diatonic, for playing minor blues, are right there on the natural minor. Natural minors are designed to be played in Cross harp (draw), not straight harp (blow). in Cross harp, many of the draw notes can be bent and this allows for a much more expressive, fluid style of playing. Cross harp is a very popular style used by most players for today's music.

  • Amazing Sound
Style: Modern
The sound quality of this harmonica is fantastic! I would give it 6 stars if I could. It is that amazing!

  • More expensive, but worth it
Style: Modern
I didn't realize when ordering that it's a "cross harp," set up for Am (in first position.) It's effectively an Am harp in key of G (rather than C.) You can also play Em in second position. The Lee Oscar werbsite has great information on how that works. It's a wonderful system. I also have an A harmonic minor, which is good for the minor blues. These are very solid harmonicas, great sounding. You just have to get used to the system. Worth the extra price. ... show more

  • A Must For Playing Harp in Minor Keys
Style: Natural Minor - Key of Am
The Lee Oskar natural minor harmonica tunings are ideal for playing blues, rock, and country tunes that are written in minor keys. They allow a harp player to play in 2nd position (as opposed to 3rd position when using a harp with a major key tuning). The Lee Oskars are well made, responsive, and with the plastic combs, are easy on the lips. 110% satisfied with these harps! ... show more

  • This is a Terrific Blues Harp
Style: Natural Minor - Key of Am
It is very difficult to find a truly well made harp in any key, and to find one made in a minor key is even harder. This Less Oskar Am blues harp is truly a joy to play and an ease to use. Right out of the hard case it was just the right size to cup in your hands and play, bend your notes, and move across the board without any difficulty at all. This is a really solid instrument and one which is well worth the extra money to invest in a quality piece of equipment which will last for years. ... show more

  • Having Fun Learning Minor Harp
Style: Natural Minor - Key of Gm
Hey Guys, Okie Fats here. I purchased a few Lee Oscars in a few of my favorite keys except I got them in Natural Minor. I wanted to try playing a minor harp in 2nd position instead of a regular harp in 1st or 5th position. Well, trust me, it isn't as easy as Lee Oscar makes it look! I'm having fun but there is definitely a learning curve! In case you didn't know LO harps are made by Tombo. They are good quality, sound good, have replaceable reed plates, and come in really cool hard cases that lock together. They might be a little pricey for the quality but not enough to loose sleep over. The cool thing is you can get a Lee Oscar in just about any tuning you can think of. Check out the Lee Oscar web site for a wealth of information about tunings and harp playing. I also have a couple in regular keys and enjoy playing them. They're not going to replace my Special 20s or custom Marine Bands though. Go ahead and give them a try. You'll like them. Order a freaky tuning and have some fun challenging yourself. Be careful though. They are all labeled in 2nd position so if you want to play cross in B, instead of grabbing an E harp, you would grab a Lee Oscar in B. 1st position is labeled on the other end of the harp. It makes sense when you see it. Just check out his web site. Most of all, Have some FUN! Okie Fats Out! ... show more

  • Beautiful tone
Style: Natural Minor - Key of Am
Not my first harp from this manufacturer, and this one is in a favorite key. Great for ethnic music in minor key.

  • Tight and the Tone is Damn Near Perfect!
Style: Modern
I have been compensating too long for not having a Natural Em harp. Being without was too much work, for too little tonal accuracy. Broke down and got this little gem. Hit on it right out of the box and blew a "Turn the Page" intro that made my wife go, "Wow!" Should have got one of these years ago!
