Great value as a beginner accordion. It's taken me a long way in just 8 months, from rank beginner to a solid growing capability. I've since purchased a bigger instrument ($2k plus), but the big monster stays in the case unless I really need the minor and other buttons. For me, this one was the right first instrument...low cost enough to reduce the risk in case I didn't like playing, or in case I didn't have the ability to learn it. ... show more

    • As an adult beginner this is a terrific beginning accordion
As an adult beginner this is a terrific beginning accordion. Sturdy, good sound with just enough base notes to get me hooked and convinced that I can do it. It's a good weight, also I am studying from the Palmer books and quickly realizing that I will soon need a larger accordion with minor and diminutive base keys. If you're a senior adult beginner, like me, don't practice too much at the start because you will have to build up muscle strength in your left hand.     • Smells of Mold! Water Damage?
Product that was sent smelled horribly of mold. Smells like it had either sat in a basement or was in a place that had water damage. I am not giving any stars.... it was that bad.
