Wife was out of town and surprised her by installing this. Has multiple lumen settings, which helps tremendously since each room needs different settings. The hard part is the wiring and drilling, but that has nothing to do with this product. Definitely get a made for purpose hole saw and dust shield that attaches to your drill. Install is clean and easy. I've installed a dozen so far and bought another box to convert my kitchen lights. Light temp selector makes them very versatile. You may want to add a dimmer as these are pretty bright at full power. ... show more

I bought the 12 pack to add lighting to my living room which we sometimes refer to as 'the cave'. There is no lighting except table or floor lamps. I put 4 units in the ceiling and what a difference. I am now going to order a dimmer switch to tone it down for evening time. These are real easy to install. I have had only 1 problem. 1 light came with a broken spring retaining tab. There was no damage on the boxes, so it must have happened when it was packaged. I will add a star to this review if the seller sends me a replacement for 1 light. ... show more

I returned it because I found it is not bring enough for my purpose (looked like a 5 watt LED instead). But it is indeed a solid product. I ordered another light that says higher wattage (and has color etc) but contrast to that one I find it better personally -- (1)solid build and has a very secure junction box for connection, (2) works with dimmer -- perfectly and unlike the other light doesnt show the LED count when dimmed, (3) works with on off switch and no privacy issue and no app needed. ... show more
