A simple product, but top-notch all the way. From the build quality, the all aluminum housing, high-grade plastic lens cover, firm weather-stripping seal, the easy access (via the fact the unit is a door within itself) to wiring and installing. Truly a commercial grade light. Installs in no time. If you need help with wiring watch some youtube video tutorials from reputable electricians. The hardest part for me was standing on the ladder (I'm not good with heights!). The light output is exceptional and cast a nice wide light. Make sure the power is turned OFF before attempting any electrical work. This also has a nice tannish-bronze color if that matters to you. There is nothing I don't like about this light.     • A good wall pack light with minor installation issues

I installed this light, along with 3 other similar lights, to replace some old low-pressure-sodium lights on barn buildings. I compared and rated all 4 lights, and here are some comments on this light: The lens cover/lid is hinged, but stays connected to the main body and only opens partway. The cover is therefore in the way when you're trying to mount the fixture onto the wall, adds more weight, and is awkward. The instructions don't say it, but you CAN remove the cover, and I highly recommend you do so. First, unplug the wires that run from the base to the cover (the lights are affixed to the cover). Then, using needle-nose pliers, pull out the hinge lock (a silver metal half-circle on one of the hinges). Then you can lift off the cover and set is aside, allowing your wall installation to be much easier. When you're done mounting the base, just slip the cover over the hinges, re-install the hinge lock, and plug the wires back together. This extra step isn't difficult, especially if you plan ahead before you go up the ladder. The screws on the cover didn't stay put when you open the cover, so you must be careful not to drop them. There are no pre-drilled mounting holes, and the base is metal. The suggested hole locations are indicated with "dimples" in the metal, but they need to be drilled through. I was away from my large toolbox when I installed this, and I wasn't aware I needed to drill mounting holes through the metal box. Fortunately, I had a self-tapping hex-head screw that worked well on cutting through to make my mounting holes. Other than the minor installation issues, it's a good light that works well. After mounting it, you just connect the 3 wires to your junction box (black, white, green) and you're all set to go. Even though this didn't get 5 stars from me, I still consider this a fine light. ... show more

Ordered/Received this JC-LGL LED Wall Pack Light 60W -7800lm with Dusk to Dawn Photocell for use at my Mobile Home Park play grounds. There's a large two story shop bldg at back of park and on front side of bldg is a large concrete 30'x30' slab that has a basketball goal. Kids in community like to play ball in evening & night, so I ordered this to put up high on side of bldg and it shines at night, right down on basketball court for them and families to play at night. Tenants love it. I like it that it's very bright and lights up whole playground area and also serves as security for really everyone (15 Family park). The 7,800 LM really brightens up the whole center playground. I have it set up on "dusk to dawn" and comes on automatically. Nice for me as I live 30 miles away from property. Nice driving into park at night and seeing it well lit up. All tenants like it as well. Happy with order and I recommend this light ... show more

The fixture can be reduced easily into front and back by removing a small "E" clip on the bottom of the lower hinge post and disconnecting an easy to operate electrical connector. In reduced form, it can be readily positioned and mounted and then the front/lamp portion put back on its hinges and sealed. A parts kit included covers all the plugs and screws you may need. You will need to use your own drill to make mounting holes but there are a number of options pre-marked on the housing so the process is very easy, and there are a lot of mounting options allowed for. The control module is pre-wired for a 10 volt dimmer control (separate driver module needed) and the day and night sensor is pre-installed but comes with a plastic plug in place that you can remove if you want that feature. Overall, a well made and thought out yard light. It really covers my driveway very well as the picture shows, from a height of about 10 feet above grade. ... show more

The yard light on the front of my shop died, so I needed something new. I'm so glad I found this light! It is extremely bright. It wired in directly where my old motion sensor light used to be mounted through the included waterproof bushing. The case it's self is gasketed and seals up tightly. It did take me a couple minutes to realize that the light sensor had an opaque cap on top of it that needed to be popped off to work properly. I would highly recommend this light to anyone that needs to light up an area. This thing's great! ... show more
