The clip attachment worked fine on the top edge of my laptop screen, but it didn't hold the light in position when clamped to the side edge. That's where I would use the tripod instead. The bigger oddity was that the light ended up at right angles to the screen when screwed all the way onto the clamp. I tried starting it at different angles, but it ended up that way every time. That limits the utility of the light quite a bit. Since the light is threaded for standard 1/4-inch, I can always attach one of my ball-joint mounts in between the clip and the light, and get the correct angle that way. If it weren't for that problem, the light would be very handy for supplemental lighting. It can be angled as needed to illuminate me during Zoom meetings or my desk if I am working in low light. The controller is simple to use for adjusting the temperature and intensity of the light. Being powered by USB gives a lot of options, plugging into the laptop, a power bank, or an AC adapter in a regular outlet.

BOTTOM LINE: 1. I recommend this awesome light bar. 2. The current price of ~$28 is reasonable. 3. Not sure why the title states "2-Pack". There is only one light included. LIKES: - It casts smooth non-reflective fully diffused light. - I love the color range. I can find just the right tone for my skin in meetings. - I like the way it attaches to the top of my monitor. I can use it on my laptop if I use the tripod. There is not enough border on my laptop monitor to connect it. - The control is super simple to use. - The tripod option included is awesome. DISLIKES: - It's not rechargeable. It has to be plugged into a computer or power bank to operate. This is fine, except it makes it less portable and more cumbersome to use if not permanently stationed at the top of a monitor. - The description states a 2-Pack. Uh...Nope. Just the one light with accessories. UPDATES: None at this time. I will update this review with any changes or important additions should any arise.

I live in a pretty overcast area so the lighting is not so good. I got this to provide more light while I'm on video calls and so far it is doing a good job. I have it clipped to the top of my computer monitor because I did not like the tripod that is included. It was pretty flimsy and I felt like I might break it while locking it in place while extended. I like how it has 3 different color options and that you can increase or decrease the intensity using the wired remote.

This video light is a portable and bright bar light that has 3 warmth settings and a changeable brightness. The tripod and clip that it comes with is versatile and could work for other items as well. I do wish the tripod was a little taller as I wanted the bar to be right on top of my 32 inch monitor, but it also works well angled to the side of my monitor. On camera, there's a noticeable difference in how bright my face looks, and the different light warmth settings are also noticeable. The LED individual lights are not visible through the bar, and the light itself looks evenly spread across the bulb. Overall this is a versatile light bar that will work for video conferencing.

If you're using this for zoom or video chats, this would work very well, if you're wanting to use this for photography, be warned, you need a computer or USB wall outlet nearby as there is no built in battery. That said, this light seems sturdy and well constructed, it comes with an expandable stand, or a clip to attach it to your monitor screen. The clip does allow for angle adjustment up or down. The light can be attached to the stand either vertically or horizontally to suit your needs. It also has 3 light color modes, one is yellowish, one slightly bluish, and the other is white. The light strength can be adjusted up or down with the remote. If it had an internal battery and did not require being constantly plugged it, I would have given it 5 stars.

While this light will not turn your underlit room into a TV studio, it can improve your lighting conditions and make your Zoom conferences look more professional. The light source can be hung horizontally or vertically on the telescopic mast or installed over your screen with the attached spring clip. I really liked the controls and the fact that I could change the light’s warmth from cold-white to warm-white.
