We got this as a nightlight. Projects on the ceiling, in a variety of colors. Works well but doesn't last long (a couple of months of frequent use.) But for a party, it'd be great. Would last longer. Remote is excellent. Light patterns are cool.

This thing is really small, about the size of an apple. However, my nine year old loves it. The colors are red, blue, and green with different variations. The remote actually works and it turns it on/off and you can change the color patterns. The sound activated part is a little silly to me and took a while to figure out. If you clap your hands loudly, the lights blink or change color. While I am not amused, kids do like it. I ordered this item for my granddaughter’s birthday and she loved it so much I send one to my great grandsons. Everyone’s friends wanted to get one for themselves. I ordered one for myself as well because it’s very cool. It’s simple, looks cool and is very inexpensive.
